Has anyone compared these two speakers? Some might be purchasing my pair of either M3's or M22's along with their stands, freeing up some money for me. I would then purchase either M60's or M80's. I know Joe Vasallo prefers M60's than any other Axiom speakers. What are the main differences between these two? Would they be a major upgrade from M22's?

I will be matching them with a VP150, QS8, and EP350.
my receiver is a Denon 1602, 70wpc into 8 ohms. Yes, it can handle a 4 ohm load, apparently.

Ravi, I have the M22s, but don't have any direct knowledge about the M60s or M80s. At least for the M80s we have the benefit of the SoundStage review with NRC measurements; surprisingly, the M60 hasn't been tested, as far as I know. The major difference between the M22 and the others would appear to be in the bass, so your use with the EP350 would tend to even that out. Above the bass the M60 and the M80(even more than the M60, I'd assume)would be able to play at very high levels in very large rooms with lower distortion. In short, unless you're speaking of extremely high sound levels, I wouldn't think that they would be a significant upgrade over the M22s plus EP350.
