To answer my own question regarding the Denon combo with D-link, I took a quick look at Denon's website. At the minimum you'll need the 3910 player and 3805 receiver. That's a cool $2,000, give or take. Thank you very much, but no thanks

Bryan, if your 2095 is in good condition it's still fine so far as pure amplification goes. The features are somewhat dated and it would be nice to have automatic calibration/room equalization and DPLIIx/Logic 7 to distribute ambience contained in stereo sources. If your budget would permit, the Yamaha 2500, Denon 2805 and HK 635 are among the excellent receivers that should be considered.

Sounds like a great plan. How 'bout going
with the SVS 25-31PCI sub for more then
half the cost? Any other suggestions for
a kick'n sub?
Thanks for response

I would get the M22's and sub first and hold off on the rest...

I second that. M22s are great but I've had them with and without a sub, and IMO a sub is a necessity, not an option.

Bryan,

While I think it's a great sub, a 25-31 PCi is going to be an awful lot of sub for a 14x14 room. Some people think that there is no such thing as too much LFE, me included . If you decide to buy it, ask SVS about tuning it down to 20 Hz; the extra 5 Hz makes a nice difference.

Also, before you buy a sub, call and talk to SVS. They will help guide you to the appropriate sub choice. You may be surprised find them suggesting a smaller sub (I was). I mention this because of the size of the room and the availability of the new PB10-ISD. It's a nice addition to the line and is less expensive than the 25-31 PCi. BTW, I've got a 20-39 PCI in a 16x22x10 room and there is plenty of sub left over.

If you don't go with the Axiom sub, I highly recommend the Hsu VTF-3 MKII. Hsu is also debuting a new VTF-3HO at CES this week in Las Vegas. I've never heard a sub I've liked better than a Hsu. (Yes, I've heard a couple SVS subs.)
