Hi
I'm a Student who recently bought a pair of M50's. I am now looking for a sub to match them. My amplifier is a 1974 Marantz model 140 (2x70 watts) . Since 70 watts is not that much, I was wondering if, once wired through the sub, I could unload the low frequencies from the M50's (wiring the speakers on the sub ?). I hope you understand what I mean ( I'm french speaking).

I understand what you mean. I would recommend leaving all of the low frequencies going to the M50s and then adjusting the sub to around 60 Hz on the frequency adjust on the sub. This frequency setting may need to change depending on your room environment.
