Bridgeman I think you got it right the first time around.

In reply to:

"The Audigy/Audigy 2 or any creative SB with the digital output requires a MONO 3.5mm to coax cable (or RCA, same bit different name). The best way to connect this is by getting a 3.5mm MONO to coax converter then plugging a coax or RCA video cable (yellow) from the converter to the Coax input of any reciever (use the yellow not the white or red as coax should be no less than 75ohm for quality reasons).

All he needs is the mono male 3.5 to male coax RCA mono. Then he buys a long video (yellow RCA) cable (cheap way) or buy a long coaxial digital cable (which can be expensive or not) female on both side and run this through the wall. The all he needs then a male to male RCA or male to male digital coax cable from the reciever to the wall.

The older SB only has a 3.5 mm female socket which is mono digital out. The socket is BLACK in color. This socket has no analog.

As for your 4 pin 3.5mm...thats not going to work since the socket is digital not analog.
