Just picked up from eBay the wonderful Sheffield Labs Tower of Power Direct CD-17. It boasts "Direct Disc Recording" from the digital master tape.

I have the original vinyl from 1982, but my turntable has been non functional for years.

Man I had forgotten how good this was recorded.
Really showcases a good system.

Going to look for other Sheffield Labs material.

Hi barilkobart.

I'll have to go through my bin of old vinyl Direct-to-Disc stuff. I know I have that album. By the way, did you notice that, if you watched the Grammy Awards, one of the producer/engineers who got an award (I think it was for the Ray Charles duets album, Genius Loves Company) was Doug Saxe, the original co-founder and recording engineer of all the Sheffield Lab recordings. His recording, The Sheffield Drum Record, on vinyl or CD, is perhaps the best recording of a drum kit I've ever heard.
