So you are then a disciple of Udo and Accept?
As well as the Schenker brothers?

Actually, I love Whitesnake and Poison. Great stuff. I just listen to alot of Def Leppard and Journey.

I think I still want the M60s though. If I want to blast the old "crappy 80s recordings," I guess I can do that on a different system.

I'll pull out my Journey and Def Leppard cd's this weekend and give em a blast through my M60's! Haven't listened to these cd's for a while. My wife loves Journey. I'll report back with my observations etc.

i was listening to my journey greatest hits at work, and i would say that most of the newer songs will sound great. a few of the early recordings, which include 'Lights', 'Wheel in the Sky', 'Lovin-Touchin-Squeezin', and 'Any Way You Want It', arent the best sound quality. but, all the others, which is essentially all their recordings from the ESCAPE album on, should sound pretty good.

BTW- i still think FRONTIERS is one of the better albums out there.. just great songs.

Ken, Ken... you've been around long enough to know the Axiom pecking order:

M2s - I'm a poor student or I have a mortgage and family that I care about and actually purchase food for.

M3s - They're only $20CDN more than the M2s, but... but... that mysterious 6.5" woofer - that can't be good, the M22s use 5.25"s, those must be better. Yes, let he who hath understanding reckon the Number of the Beast, for it is a human Number, it's Number is six-point-five.

M22s - the flagship bookshelf. It's the biggest I can buy, this is the Axiom bookshelf, baby. Well, until they make a bigger one, then I'll get that.

M40s - the tower version of the M3 - evil, only taller.

M50s - like an gangly siamese twin M3 in tower form!

M60s - yeah, baby... I want the coolest tower you guys have... big, man, BIG... what? The M80s are 4 ohm? Lets see, 4 / 3.1415 x 2 channels ^ 42 to the power of current... carry the one... oh hell, gimme this 8 ohm sucker.

M80s - Fear and loathing in Dwight, ON.

VP100 - I have no joke here.

VP150 - Centre, man... there is a fire in my soul that can only be quenched by more centre. Fire this puppy up with a pair of M2s and... invent 3 channel mono?!?

QS4s - surround sound... yeah, hey, waitaminute... 4.5" woofers? Nothing else in the product line uses a 4.5" woofer - what did these do wrong? Or are they just so special they get a woofer all to themselves? Or is it short-bus special? Aww, hell...

QS8s - yeah, that's the shizznit... a 5.25" woofer, those are common among the other speakers in the line. So the power handling is matched only by the M80s? I'm all about overkill... and that sweet, sweet 5.25" woofer.

EP Series - this one's mathematical:
*square footage of room* x *current bank balance* / (*length of wedding tackle in inches* x 425) =
*rough estimate of EP #'d sub to buy*

Single guys - multiply by 2. Single, ugly guys multiply by 3.

Bigjohn....I agree with you on Frontiers. That and Escape are perhaps Journey's best. Good to hear the newer songs should sound good. I think the new Journey greatest hits compilation "The Essential Journey" 2 CD set was remastered. I thought that the previous Greatest hits single cd was remastered as well. I wonder how much of a difference there is between the remastered sound and just the regular versions...just because on my cheapo set up now, I wouldn't be able to tell a difference.
