Harman Kardon announced it is offering a major software and firmware upgrade for the company’s AVR 630 and AVR 430 high-performance 7.1-channel audio/video receivers. The upgrade adds a host of performance enhancements to both models, including Dolby Pro Logic IIx 7.1-channel surround sound processing, switchable automatic digital input polling and other improvements, and is available free of charge to AVR 630 and AVR 430 owners.

I did my 630 and the improvements in digital switching are significant. Dolby Pro Logic IIx is also a nice addition. They failed however to correct the sound field lock when different signals are present ie: Watching the dish and going from a channel in Dolby Digital to one that is in standard stereo, still causes my 630 to get a little confused.
