OK....I figured there might be some fellow Star Wars geeks around here. Anyone found copies/captures of that trailer from last night yet?

I'm sure it'll be up soon if it hasn't. I HD Tivo'ed it. Sound was digital but it was 4:3 letterboxed, bummer. BTW, I had to Tivo OC which I never watch just to record the last commercial. I should've known that it wouldn't show until the end of the program.

Pretty cool, gave some more insight into how Skywalker gets "converted". Interesting that they didn't give up anything on why he had to start wearing the mask though. One of the other trailers shows it briefly.

The trailer was better than the earlier released one from the Internet. Like you said, it gives you more information and context. I personally am pretty excited about this. At 32 years old, I still get that giddy feeling of excitement that I got many years ago when I saw the first movie. Although I will definitely go and see this in the theater, I am pumped to see this in my home theater when it comes out on DVD.

I have to say, it was a pretty darn good trailer. After getting burned by the last two movies, I wasn't really looking forward to this one (and some of the spoilers I'd read were cringe-worthy). So the fact that now I'm actually semi-hyped for the film speaks to the effectiveness of the trailer. Good job!

You're absolutely right, and I do try to keep that in mind... as well as some of the spoilers, a number of which don't bode well...

I'm not even watching/reading them. I'll see the movie, but I don't have high hopes.

What really pisses me off about the new trilogy is not just how BAD the movies are... it's that they make me look at the old movies as if they were not as good as I thought they were.

Plus I can't get the originals on DVD.

I knew when I posted this thread that you guys were going to start bashing the prequals and lucas again. I have to say, you guys gotta lighten up. Remember, the movies are not made for us anymore. They are kids movies. In that context, both of the prequal movies thus far were pretty good. Yes, Jar-Jar was a mistake, but he probably made the kids laugh, which is the point. If you guys go into the next movie with this attitude, you are bound for disappointment. Have a couple of coctails, think about when you were that young, and then simply have some fun. With that mindset, there's no way you can't enjoy yourselves. Hell, it's STAR WARS!!!!....not a Clancy movie. You finally get to find out how Darth Vader came to be....Get Excited!!!!! (Yes, I know I'm showing my geekiness )
