OK, man there are a lot of mistakes in this thread. But first, man Incredibles does rock, picture, sound features, everything. Not to mention the movie absolutely makes me smile with emotion every time I see Dash learn how to use his powers. Something about that scene just makes me so happy to see people finally making the type of scenes in movies that comic book lovers have only dreamed about for so many years.

Big John,
Robots was made by Blue Sky and FOX, the studios behind Ice Age. Not Pixar nor Disney. This is such a pet peeve of mine, people who think that just because it is CG, that it has to be from Pixar. Pixar movies are the best there is, Dreamworks movies are cynical and have no heart, they are often very funny, but to me just do not work on any near the level of Pixar movies. I havent seen Robots yet but really enjoyed Ice Age. I think it has a lot more heart than anything from Dreamworks and is also really funny. It just doesnt reach the perfection that I believe every movie from Pixar has.

Bray,
James Cameron did not direct Rambo II nor Point Break. He worked on the screenplay for Rambo II, but then had nothing to do with it. Point Break he did not write nor direct, only executive produced for his wife at the time, who did direct it. Cameron is an incredible director. His directing track record, to me at least, is flawless:
Terminator
Aliens
The Abyss
Terminator 2
True Lies
Titanic

To me everyone of these movies is a genre defining classic and no one understands the art of the sequel as well as Cameron.

End rant, but honestly, you guys need to go onto IMDB more often or something.

I'll agree with you on all counts but Titanic. Sure, it was decent, but "genre-defining" it was not. What genre would that be, anyway? Shipwreck?

*waves* Yoo-hoo... that was me, over here... tall Canadian dreamboat, goatee...

Yeesh... you can really suck the life out of a joke.

Reminds me of Sam Kinison going on about "I've been accused of writing medically incorrect humour *hits himself in the head with the mic*... y'know, when I went to medical school to write f***ing jokes... I told myself I'd never do medically incorrect humour!"

Ok, you guys have me all excited about this movie.

Good News: I got the movie for my oldest son for a gift.

Bad News: It was an Easter gift, so I have to wait until next weekend to give it to him, so we can watch it....

Didn't get to the theatres to watch The Incredibles, so I am anxious to watch it, especially the LFE scenes...

Joyce and I bought it last night to watch with my twin 3 year old niece and nephew while my sister was visiting.

Man, I've talked about my short attention span in listening to music, but I don't know how you guys with kids and HTs EVER get to enjoy a movie!

Joyce and I will be watching it for real tonight... without worrying about it being too loud, too soft, who went poopies in the potty, who spilled their juice, who's jumping on my lap, who is chasing the dog, who is throwing the ball, who is throwing the dog, who wants to put their jammies on (and then immediately, want their jammies off, etc...etc...

Joyce and I love kids...we really do. And we plan on having some still (after 15 years of marriage)...but..........whew!

Getting a 3 year old to sit through a movie is tough. The breakthrough comes around the 4-5 yr old mark.

The kids and I saw the Incredibles in the theater...a lot of fun. We just watched it again at home on the HT system.....also a lot of fun. They are 7 and 5.

We have four of our grandchildren living with us, aged four thru ten. (Here's a riddle: We've had them for FIVE years)

The movie did a Better-Than-Average job of keeping them occupied for the majority of the movie.

As a baby-sitter flick, I'd rate it a solid 8.7
