Axiom Home Page Forums General Discussion Home Theater VP 100 or Veritas V2.0Ci? QS 4 or QS 8?

I am getting a Yamaha RXV 2500 130 Watt Receiver and currently have Veritas 2.3 front stereo Speakers in a average size room. I am going to add a Center and Rear Speakers.

I would appreciate receiving your recommendations and suggestions;

1 - Should I get the Energy Veritas Center Speaker V2.0Ci or the Axiom VP100? Tha Axion is smaller than the Veritas and my wife does not want the large center Veritas.
However, will the VP 100 sound good with the existing Veritas 2.3 front stereo speakers (timber etc.)? The VP 150 is out of the question, since it is wider than the Veritas center speaker.

2 - My wife hates big speakers (as mentioned). So, will I miss much quality sound with the Axiom QS 4 vs. the larger QS 8 Rears? In other words, are the QS 8's significantly superior to the QS 4's, so much so that I should not even consider the QS 4's?

I'd get the Veritas center, and the QS8 surrounds.

You're wife will get used to it. I honestly wouldn't mix and match the Veritas mains with the VP100. If she can deal with those huge 2.3's, the center shouldn't be an issue. The QS8's can be ordered in egg shell white with white grills. Assuming your walls are also white, they'd all but disappear.

plus, i honestly dont think the QS8's, are that much bigger than the QS4's. you are talking only a few inches taller and a few inches wider, so i think you will be OK there.. anf the QS8's do sound magnificent.

I agree with Bigjohn. You don't really say how big your "normal sized" room is, but I think you would be happier with the big brother Qs8's. Just get them in a finish that will match your decor, to make the wife happy
