Alan had once suggested looking at Russound for speaker selectors. They also appear to have A/B switchers for speakers and multisource components for those looking to do some home A/B switching (with line leveling as far as i can tell).

Hi kcarlile,

Yep, there's a second remote in the box for my 525 for Zone 2, but I've never used it. At this stage in my life I don't want sound in a second zone (ha, ha). I just go into the bedroom and fall asleep.

And that 525 manual is a pain. I'll have a word with Gena (Harman)--I know, namedropper, but she really is a lovely person.

Regards,

Is it just me, or do other folks also think the 635 manual is somewhat of a pain? This is in comparison to the Onkyo manuals.

I thought the Onkyo manual was pretty poor...................................................................................until I got a Denon. I now think the Onkyo manual is pretty damned good.

The sad truth is most manuals from foreign electronics companies suck. I'm pretty good at technical writing. Maybe I've missed my calling in life... but I doubt sales are made or broken by the quality of a product's manual, so maybe there's no incentive for them to improve.

The manual may be worthless, but the image of the Swiss maid I have in my head... priceless.

I'm intrigued by their A-BUS stuff, but you have to give them your email addy to find a dealer. I don't think so! And somehow 7.5 watts with 1% THD is not appealing, even going into M3s...

Jack,
Denon should hire some technical personnel to write their manuals. When I received my Denon AVR-2105 from ecost the manual was no surprise as I had already down-loaded it from the Denon site to get a jump on things. The best part is when I purchased my new Sony 50" TV recently, the technician hooked up the TV, the Denon receiver, DVD, VCR, CD Changer, Axioms and set-up the receiver without the manual. I just handed him the remote control and he did his thing. All said and done, he was out the door 45 minutes later. Talk about service and no extra charges!!!!!
Cheers,
Shaun

I was wondering where in the hell you came up with that, then saw the spelling……..(I was stoned through English/grammer).

But now you’ve got me thinking about my girl in a maid’s uniform……we’ve been apart for close to three months with two weeks to go, and now this. Thanks bud…great, just great. I….must…..be…..strong……12….more…..days……….
