Hi everyone!

I have a question about soundproofing.

Unfortunately, my living room has two doors on the right side, and, the doors are no longer there. They are wide open and lead into the hallway.

Does anyone know a good and inexpensive way to block these openings, making it more soundproof? We have considered installing new doors, but this place is a rental. Are there any kinds of cloths or curtains we can put up that will not cost a fortune? Or is putting the cheapest wood doors we can find the best solution?

Thank you for any advice.

I can't think of an easy way for sound proofing, but a heavy set of "black-out" drapes will go along way toward reducing the sound. Don't let the name fool you. They aren't black. They are a heavy, lined material drape used to block out all sunlight.
