have been e-mailing a guy who lives about 20 minutes away. he wants to hear the axioms i have, m60,8's, ep350, & vp150. guess he ordered 2 maggie m12's, what ever they are, which may or may not be in by this weekend. if we a/b them sunday, i'll report back. i know my rxv1300 will drive my axioms, but will it drive the m12's?

i'd be very interested in a direct comparison w/ the maggies. Those were on a short list last year but my local dealer closed up shop before I got a chance to listen.

Dan, I know that you're very upset that he won't be bringing the maggies, but that alone isn't reason enough to blow him away. If it should become necessary, I'd suggest a Remington 1100 in 12 gauge(12 gauge sounds a bit better). Hopefully though, you'll get along well, and to impress him I'd suggest Holst's Planets by Dutoit and the Montreal Symphony on London 460 606. Very impressive on my M22s and Craig has reported being overwhelmed on his M60s. In any case, you should have it for your own enjoyment.

when i said blow him away, i should have said, impress the hell out of him with the axiom sound. words sometimes have different meanings with the proper inflections. ie. potato or potato, tomato or tomato, it's in the pronunciation. should be a good time, and i might be invited to hear his maggies when he gets them.

Yeah, before we begin an aeration process with the auditionees, we should pause and reflect on their mentioning the audition and generating a check worth 5% of the take to augment your beer, wine, bourbon or DVD collection. Plus, regardless of which fruit or vegetable you choose, providing an audition has to be stone, solid fun showing off the boys.
