I have owned M22's, QS8's, VP100, STF-2, Yamaha RX-V750 Receiver for about 6 months now and am very happy! I was looking to install two speakers in our kitchen and needed some advice on speakers. Inwall would work the best, and I realize sound quality will suffer but for this room it isn't that important as the music will not be played that loud anyway. These needed to be mounted on the wall about 3-6" from the ceiling, any suggestions on speaker brand, also was wondering how the qs8's would sound as being the only speakers in the room. Thanks alot.

I got some Proficient C610s (they are listed as in-ceiling on the link below) installed by a local guy as he convinced my wife to go with them rather than the Mirage bookshelf speakers that I wanted hooked up in our bedroom. They are decent speakers that are worth the $175 I have seen them listed for around the net and overall and I think I am happier that we got them in the ceiling than where I had planned to put the bookshelves (which was cosmetically awful and acoustically poor). I'm still not happy with the installer because he charged us $350 for them at a time when my wife called me while I was busy at work and couldn't look anything up...but the truth is if I were forced to get in-wall or in-ceiling speakers in the near future, I would look at Proficient first because I know them and know they give you a decent product at a fair price (if you don't buy from the installer). If you can find anything that sounds better than that, then go for it.
