Well I know that you all have heard me talking about this 7.1 dedicated theater we have but I dont believe I have ever put up any pics. Part of the reason is because its not done yet and another part is that its hard to get good pics of.

But what the heck. I just recieved my replacement Vp150 for the one that either broke, or I broke along with the new FMS-CC stand for it so I know how much you all like pics.

Let me start by saying that this isint MY personal theater. It is in my parents house, Yes technically I still live at home although I have my own seperate apartment type place above the garage with a seperate entrace/kitchen etc. So basically its like my own house with free rent. This dedicated theater room was something we decided to add onto this house for resale as we will be selling it in about a year.

The system is of course, as you can tell by the pics a Epic 80-600 7.1 setup in boston cherry. The screen size will be 110" and we will also have real theater style chairs. When more funds become available. Right now all we have is a bed sheet for a screen but it seems to do the trick. Eventually there will be a electric retractible screen a bit further back from where the sheet is

I know what your thinking. WINDOWS!!! Yes, according to county BS code we had to have windows. But they are redwood jealousies that when closed let zero light in so its fine. If it was up to me they wouldnt be there but alas, I am not the architect. My mom was.

Looking back at the disgustingly dirty suede like chairs, and the double african mahogany doors. The EP600 off in the corner along with the QS8's on the side and rear wall. Also the equipment rack.

From top to bottom we have the Denon DVD2910, 3250HD cable box, B&K AVR507 receiver and finally a Monster HTS3500mk2 power center. All plugged into a dedicated outlet and stacked on a costco special equipment rack. The Projector is an Infocus 7205 720p DLP. Connected via Bettercables component cables in the wall.

Little shot of the pic quality on a wrinkled bed sheet.

Gotta have the theater wall sconces on the dimmer, And finally a couple shots of the FMS-CC stand. I ordered ours to be 18" vs the standard 16" but could have even gone an inch or two higher. I think the 16" definetly would have been too short for our setup.

Thanks for sharing. That looks like a fun room. I'm looking forward to the day when I have a dedicated room.

This was the first time I had really seen a front projection system in use, so I really didnt know what to expect with picture quality on a screen 110 inches big, But I have been quite impressed. We had on order a Screen research projection screen at where I used to work, And will be working again in a couple days but my boss didnt come through on that so finally after 8 months we asked for a refund. Its a good thing because with the picture being this good on a plain sheet, I think We can get by with a cheaper Dalite screen vs a premium Stewart or Screen research.

Very nice Brandon, I like the lights on the side walls, very cool. That is cool that you have your own apartment above your folks garage. Heck, my 8yr old has already told me that he wants the basement when he gets older. He can stay as long as he wants....
