Hey Deadline,

Have you checked the audtion thread?

http://www.axiomaudio.com/boards/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=Auditions&Number=76567&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=0&fpart=1

If you don't see anybody on the list or frapper map link near you in your state or close by states, you could try to PM Amie at Axiom for other ideas.

fyi The 60's and 80's are very similar in sound, the 80's will play a little louder and have a slight lower bass end, but the 60's are killer in my opinion.

Randy is correct in saying both speakers sound very much alike. If you can't audition them, you can always order the 60's, then if you still feel the need for a little more, you can upgrade to the 80's without ever having paid any shipping.

Again, if you PM Amie at Axiom, sometimes there are people that have not added their name to the list as it may not be updated...

There has to be someone in your area, come on guys lets help this guy out.

thanks for the offer, but i've made the plunge, and will have 30 days to make my decision in my own home. i am curious what other owners had auditioned (speaker wise) at that price range ?

Also, what will you be driving your speakers with, and AVR or seperates? Make sure you calibrate everything correctly once the Axioms arrive. Many people don't realize that is very important.

good luck, I'm sure you won't return them...

i ordered the M60ti towers, they will have to be auditioned with my old denon
dra835r receiver.this is my first step in upgrading my stereo system to a suround system. i also started to listen and read up on av receivers. it seems that all the hi fi stores i've been auditioning speakers at seems to be steering me
away from the denon line, saying they are a mass market receiver and aren't making them as well anymore, go with a marantz or rotel. i've actually been waiting for denon to come out with the new 2807 av receiver in march, and how does anyone purchase a receiver (rotel 1056) knowing there is a hissing problem . i guess in every price range you have to deal with the reality of
