I know there has been extensive debate regarding the sound presented by these different speakers but I need confirmation that the path I am choosing will produce great results. I want a new two channel system specifically for music. I brought my M60's up from the HT room and attached them to my music system and loved the sound but both my wife and myself were unhappy with the size of the speakers compared to the surrounding furniture. After discussing various options we wondered if a pair of M22's and a 350 sub would produce a comparable sound. They would certainly tie in with the environment but I would like some opinions how the sound would compare.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Properly integrated, the M22/EP350 combo should be very good. I come from a purist approach and would prefer the M60 by itself. That's me, though. In your situation, decor considerations in mind, the bookshelf/sub mixture will be good. An added benefit, if you can move the sub around, is more flexibility in terms of getting an even bass response.

Framer if you would like to hear the M22 come on over sometime, but when Mojo and I listened to my M22s with his EP600 during our first meeting, it was not nearly as good as the M60s alone.

However, I now have the M22s hooked up to an older Sony Prologic receiver with a low boost option and they sound quite full now compared to the 'thin' sound they had at Mojo's. I never thought the M22s sounded thin in my HT area as they were in a corner and I think that helped them out in the lower end.

Yes, they would sound similar.
They use similar cabinets, drivers, design.
There will be more subtle differences.
