My M60 is on the way and I need a receiver NOW! I am on a tight budget right now. I'll love the Denon 3805 but I can't afford that right now. She will kill me! Which receivers are you using for your M60s? I'm just going to use them for music now, but I will make additions later. Thanks

If you want a Denon, you can find great deals here or here. Both are authorized Denon retailers, so you can get a factory warrantee. I have personally dealt with e-cost, and I did not have any problems.

Harman Kardon also sells their B-stock on Ebay, and it is warranteed.

Yes, I plan to go to 7.1.
At this time, I want to know the 'affordable' receivers (models & numbers) that people are using for their M60. Thanks.

Thanks bigjohn. But that thread discusses M22. Is M22 the same as M60? Just asking. Thanks

M22 is a bookshelf, and the M60 is a tower speaker.. but, any good receiver pushing at least 75-80 watts per channel, will push those 60's plenty hard.. it really depends on your budget.

the HK's have a tendency to be a lower wattage rating than most receivers, but it is widely considered that they under-cut the wattage on their specs, and that a 60-70 watt HK is just as powerful as any other 70-80 watt receiver.

here are some brands and models to start your search

Onkyo 501, 601, 701
Denon 1604, 1804, 2803, 2804
HK 300 and 400 series
Yamaha 400, 500, 600 series..

i am not sure on the 'actual' model numbers on the HK and yamaha, but go to their websites and it is fairly easy to navigate.
