I've had the m22ti now for a couple of weeks and have fallen in love with the sound.
I got to looking around on the Axiom home page and found something where Allen recomended the m60tis for vaulted ceilings (which I have). Will the m60s make a big difference and will they let me trade up??? They will cost me an extra ( if there is such a thing) $400.00 in you guys opinion would it be worth it, or should I just block it out of my mind and get an sacd player instead.?????? HEELLPP!!!! I feel like I've got a new disease.

Hello Bray

OK, you have vaulted ceilings and a pair of M22s which you love. Should you trade the M22s for a pair of M60s? You are concerned about trading in the M22s, and the financial cost - is it financially sensible for the improvement in the sound?

My suggestion - no, don't trade the M22s, you love the way they sound. Go to the big jar with all the loose change in it. That's at least a couple of hundred dollars. Promise yourself that you will take the change to the bank and credit it to your credit card, the one you lay on your desk when you call Noreen and order a pair of M60s.

The M60s go in the front of your vaulted room. The M22s, go against the side walls. Don't go out to dinner 10 times during the month you receive your M60s. You will lose 5 pounds, break even financially, keep the M22s which you love, and gain a pair of magnificent M60s.

Just a thought or two.

Yea, but but
I have a 5.1 h/k, and probably wont go any bigger. I already have qs8s and the vp100.
In (ya'lls) opinion, what would I gain in sound, by the trade up?
I could spend the money, I just could spend it on something else, and probably will, if I dont do the trade. Like a new sacd player.

I hate to tell ya, man, but the M60s do sound better. I fell victim to the same sickness....I have both sitting in my living room right now. The M22s sounded super clear compared to my old Yamaha's, but they lacked something in the lower midrange and Bass, even w/ the sub. The M60s definitely fill that gap.

My advice...Buy the M60s, sell the M22s on Ebay, and then buy the SACD player. This is America. We have the highest level of personal debt in the world. Why fight the flow. Seriously, though, scrimp on the eating out for a little while and you'll make up the difference. You won't regret it.

I traded up from my 22's to the 60 and I am wonderfully happy. I also loved the 22's. I had them for four weeks and traded them up {with help from the nice people at AXIOM} and have not looked back. I can't describe to you the great sound that comes out of these speakers. I know the cost is 400.00 dollars more. That is steep to alot of people, including myself. But to me it was worth every cent. I want to sell my upstairs speakers to buy some 22's for upstairs in an entertainment cabinet. So, I obviously loved both speakers.
There seems to be so much more "sound" to these speakers. I am not an audiophile, but I know what sounds good to me. I don't want to use warmth and bright to ya. I love good highs and this speaker definetly has it. I am not a big bass fan but this speaker fills out the bottom for me. It has taken me awhile to get the right configuration in my room, but now almost everything sounds good. That is everything from the Allman Brothers to Van Morrison,Travis Tritt,Sam Cooke,
Lynyrd Skynyrd, Queen, Van Halen, Pam Tillis and the Temptations. What pisses me off about the 60's is that it shows how record companies have rippped us off through the years with some lousy CD's. Sometimes mastering doesn't help one bit. It needs re-mixed and re-mastered. Off my soapbox now. By the way, for Skynyrd fans, the 25th anniversary edition of One More From the Road is unbelievable.

I had exactly the same experience as Turbo and Todd. When they arrive, and you've had some time with them, please post YOUR impressions, will ya?

This all started when a 5 year old JBL went out on me. I sat day after day thinking I was getting great sound out of a JVC reciever a JBL sub and 2way JBL fronts. The sub went out, so I went shopping for a new sub. I came home with a (open box special) Velodyne CHT-12,hooked it up and listenened to it cut out when I cranked up the volume. Took it back and traded for a CHT-10. Got a $100.00 bucks back from that trade, so I spent another $100.00 and got a h/k avr130 (open boxed special). I brought them both home only to find the h/k didnt fit my entertainment center.
The next day I went to buy a new entertainment center. Got the new entertainment set everything up, but the old JBL speakers just didnt look right with it.
Next day went shopping for new speakers. Found some infinitys I "thought" I wanted, went to pay for them and my bank card wouldnt read. Left the store frustrated! Got home and online and started researching speakers and stumbled across an Axiom review.
Went and checked out some Boston Acoustic speakers, but didnt like the $$ tag. Came back home and decicded on the Axiom "grand master" set up (less the sub). Recieved new Axioms 2 days later and I couldnt believe all the sound I had been missing!!!!
Then I read and find out I could get even better sound, by upgradeing to the M60ts.
Anyway, I am sooo tahnkful for that JBL sub going out.
