As some of you may have read already, ZeN (Kolby) stopped by this passed Saturday to have a look/listen..
Boy, the things we Axiom owners have to put up with, eh :-)
Actually, it was fun and informative..
Yes, my room IS in need of accoustic work.. I built the room myself, and it was originally to be a photo studio.. With hard tile floor and sheetrock walls/ceiling, it's very unforgiving.. Sound panels are on the 'to make' list..
My apologies to Axiom for not giving a better showing..
I have moved those M80's around a bit from time to time, and somehow managed to move "away" from the best set up.. Boy, they are picky about placement !
Now, as for the "Old Fart" comment ?? haha.. You young wipper snappers need to just settle yerselves down a bit..
I was on my best behavior, and did not break out any of my beloved blues cd's or vinyles..
Modern recording techniques are far superior to days of old, and as such, the end results are more often than not excellent.. But Bjork ??
Bottom line, it was a well spent afternoon.. ZeN old buddy, you are welcome back any time..
LFE ! The rest is just details..

Mikey,
Good times!!! Hey, you dont need to make ANY excuses for your HT room... Many (I'd say MOST) of us dont even have the luxury of having a dedicated HT room, we just make our living rooms work You have done an excellent job of building and setting your place up, I have nothing but respect for ya!
No need to apologize to Axiom either! The fact that you let me into your home to audition speakers that, if not for you, I would have to buy sight unseen - not a fun prospect. I honestly appreciated your time and efforts - as I'm sure Axiom does.
I stand by my comment though, I think you liked Bjork, DMB, and Zakk Wyld - I bet you already bought them all!!!
Oh yeah, your still an old fart too! You remind me soooo much of my dad - whom I love to hang around with too. So enjoy the old fart comment because its what I call my pops.
Thanks again,

Yeah, I too have found that grown-up music sounds much better through Axioms than kiddie music does.

When does one *become* a "grown up"? I'll try like hell to avoid it

You become a grown up when crappy music sounds like crap. Has anybody heard what is playing on KROQ these days? Man, that is ugly.

I have to agree. I never did listen to KROQ much though. KLSX was great, back in the day (i.e. early 90s).

So am I then a grown up - Country and rap already sound like crap
I love Premium Radio (92.1) here in San Diego, as well as FM 94.9 - Both are more into the local scene, as well as classic alternative (Is there such a thing?):D, and punk music.
To each their own I suppose
