Hi,
New guy on the block, looking hard at an HT set-up. I am looking for some feedback on the QS stands. I have to use stands for surrounds due to room design.

2 Questions:
1. Has anyone purchased the QS stands and how well do they work?
2. Do you have to buy the little rubber stability balls for them to be stable enough for use? The current stands I have for my Energy 22 Pro Monitors (yeah, I am that old) weigh about 20lbs a piece and are rock solid stable.

Thanks (I am learning a ton from all the posts)

I was wondering about those balls as well. I have QS8's mounted to 5' home made oak stands. I modified the stand to accept the included "T" bracket and the speaker mounts to the front of the uprights as if they were wall mounted. They are actually quite stable. The 8's were heavier than I had expected and I thought I'd have trouble with the stands being sturdy/stable enough. The only thing I don't agree with about the QS stand is it's height.......seems too low. But, give Axiom some credit as far as knowing what they're doing!

BTW, the QS8's are fantastic!

I don't have the steel balls, at least not in the speaker stands. But I reccommend something to add weight. My QS8 fell over and damaged the speaker. I think they are a little top-heavy on those stands. I respect Axiom quality and esspecially their customer service. But I think that for the price those stands should have some added weight at the base.

Has anyone tried the steel balls for the QS stands yet?
The QS stands have two colums each. If I have two QS-8's, would that mean I will need 4 boxes of steel balls?
Thanks. I welcome any ideas.

They do seem a little low, especially if you have tall furniture and need to have them behind you, they are pricey too.
