Im curious if there are other mount options out there to wall mount one of my QS8 and ceiling mount the second, the axiom wall and ceiling mount are a little pricey kinda broke the bank on my
2 QS8, 2 M60, 1 VP150 and EP350 I do want to make sure they are secure so if need be I'll just have to break the bank even more.
just looking at my options.

Paging sirquack. sirquack, please report to the bracket thread.

While we're waiting for sirquack to chime in, you do know that the QS8 comes with a wall bracket, right?

Randy is missing out on a rare opportunity here.

As was mentioned the QS's come with a 'T' bracket for flush wall mounting which would leave you the option of buying a single Axiom ceiling mount.

i just used the provided wall brackets and rubber bump out feets. it is a snug feet and took a slight effort to get the speaking slid on it, but they look good. i put four screws, two into a stud, for each speaker. later.

acd123,

My first question is why you would ceiling mount one Qs8, and wall mount the other? I'm guessing it has something to do with your room setup?

Even though they are very forgiving on placement, I still think you would want them at the same height if possible. Can you describe your situation.

The Qs8's come with a wall bracket. For a ceiling bracket, as the others have hinted, I got a bit creative and cheap. Just headed down to our local Menards Home Improvement store and found some shelf brackets with black plastic covers to hide the wires.

Another option would be to check out the omni mounts, they are fairly affordable.

I did not realize they come with wall mounts so that does take care of one speaker the reasoning for ceiling mounting one is on one side of my room the wall pushes out about 4 ft. and has 2 huge windows in the bay area with a small cathedral ceiling in that bay, so wall mounting on that side is not an option, do to the windows so I am planning on wall mounting using the axiom mount that comes with the speakers for the wall side and then ceiling mounting the other using sirquacks method where the flat ceiling and cathedral meet sorry kinda hard to expalin,it actually looks like from your picture we have a similar situation. hopefully I will beable to acheive the same height using your method great info Thanks

The metal under those plastic covers is very solid. I had to drill out one of the holes a bit to accomodate the bolt in the back of the Qs8's as it was a bit to small for the bolt to fit through.

On the top side I just used 2 screws to go up into a raftor. The drop down area is actually our heating/cooling ducts that run across the basement and also enclose the I-Beam.

Yep, I've been watching the tracking on my 2 350v3's that are in route. Should be here tomorrow or Saturday. When I placed the order I marked it for customer pickup. There is a Fed Ex facility on the way home from work. \:\)
