My friend has an ep500 but for the life of me, I couldn't figure out how to get the sub to play in Stereo mode? She has a Denon. it plays when the tv is on or the ps3... but not when the setting on the receiver is "stereo". Thanks guys!

If her denon is like my 2807 there is a separate menu for setting up the sub for 2ch vs multi-channel.

For mine I open the “System Setup Menu” > “Advanced Playback” > “2ch Direct/Stereo.” On this screen I can set the subwoofer to “yes” or “no” and the mains to “large” or “small” with a crossover setting.

Also on my 2807 if you set the subwoofer to yes here it will play in all stereo modes…including “direct” and “pure direct.”
