Indeed, they are off the drop down menu, and while the direct links:

http://www.axiomaudio.com/a1400-2.html
http://www.axiomaudio.com/a1400-8.html

are still there, they are listed as "Out Of Stock" with no way to order.

This is what Brent had to say, hope I don't get crap eek

"Changes to product such as the A1400-8 have been driven by both the ongoing evolutrion of product development and the reality that some of the parts themselves used on our current amp board are going through through their own evolution. That is the reason we no longer have the product on our website."

It sounds like some of the parts they need are no longer available.

I have heard of a lot of people having problems with these amps, maybe they are completely changing the design? As expensive as the thing is it is a bummer that there were so many issues. I really wanted one too.

But then again, you usually hear about the people with broken stuff more on the internet then the ones who are sitting on the couch jamming away.

I've personally had more A1400 issues than Xbox 360 issues, if that helps the discussion. smile Really, though, if they're "evolving" the product, what would you like to see changed?

My motto for all ID companies is I won't touch their electronics with a ten foot pole. Speakers...definitely. I leave the electronics up to the big boys and girls that have been doing it successfully for decades. For example, watching ID companies coming to market with processors has been a hoot. eek

I think I would save my money for a good pair of Binoculars. Swarovski or Zeiss brands - maybe Nikon.

There is some wisdom in that. Companies have to be watchful of spreading their resources too thin as well, although I don't believe Axiom should remain static on new ideas like these amps.
