Okay everyone, you’ve had time to get your best names ready for the Axiom Amps, I know it! As suggested by Ken in our last contest, this time around it’s a limit of three entries per person. (And since we’re all fine upstanding Axiomoes, we understand that that doesn’t mean create 27 new accounts on the Axiom Message Boards to get all your names entered!) Please take a minute to look over the amplifier pages to get a sense of the product, and then hit us with your best shot!
The 1000 The 1250 The 1500 The prize will be your choice of one pair of M3 Algonquin Outdoor Speakers, one pair of M3 Bookshelf Speakers, or Axiom Bucks in the amount of $368; whichever you prefer. Void where prohibited by law or the bounds of good taste.
Contest ends May 15th – hurry and get your one brilliant, golden, pithy jewel-of-an-entry in!
The Axiom Opus Series- Opus 1000, Opus 1250, etc. This one is Golden.
The Axiom Suite Series- Suite 1000, Suite 1250, etc. The double-Double entendre of this one makes it both Pithy AND Brilliant!
The Axiom Progression Series- Progression 1000, Progression 1250, etc. This one is a Jewel of an entry.
Axiom Standard 1000, 1250, 1500. Standard as in "The new standard" and/or "jazz standard"
I'm gonna resurrect the Epoch from my LFR suggestion, too. Goes well with Millennia: Epoch 1000, 1250, 1500.
Axiom Power 1000, 1250, 1500. Speaks for itself.
The Axiom M (1000)
The Axiom MCCL (1250)
The Axiom MD (1500)
RA (reference amp) 1000, RA1250 and so forth...
or just
Axiom 1000, Axiom 1250 and Axiom 1500
Axiom 1000, Axiom 1250 and Axiom 1500
Now that's slick. If mpyw wins because the names stay the same as what they are currently, then I'm going to facepalm myself for not thinking of it first.
Axiom's new F1000, F1250, and F1500 amplifiers deliver the force you need to make your music and movies come alive.
You can add -# afterwards for the number of channels. Quicker to type and read "F1500-3" instead of "F1500 three channel."
Apollo. (Apollo 1000, Apollo 1250, Apollo 1500)

This lineup of Class-D amplifiers aren't really geared towards the average audio/home theatre enthusiast. At the price points it is more reaching the high end market of power amplification.
The eXperience series (X1000, X1250....)
Live Concert (LC1000...)
Or the combination: The Live Concert eXperience (LCX1000).
How about "D series" to highlight the differentiating aspect, Class D amplifier:
D1000

Going with simplicity here. Seems to be a theme with all things Axiom including the cabinets of these new amplifiers.

PA1500
Keep it simple, how about
Axiom A1000
Axiom A1250
Axiom A1500

How about "D series" to highlight the differentiating aspect, Class D amplifier:

I suppose I should also include "DA series" to protect myself
as in DA1000, DA1250, DA1500
I keep coming back to the theme of flexibility. I really like the name Digiflex, or DigiFlex, to summarize how it's a digital amp with the flexibility to send more or less power as needed for the situation/set-up. I see that
Digiflex is a name brand of cables, though (in Canada, no less). Maybe you can strike a kind of deal with them, pointing out that there's also Digiflex cameras, flex fuel converters, ink jet printing systems, digital servo drives, and hand exercisers, just on the first page of Google results for "Digiflex". So, just in case:

Mark's suggestions don't count. Remember, Amie.
For my last entry it is a combination of the first two but adding its efficiency rating which I think is such a selling point.
CD90/PWM90-1000/1250/1500
The most efficient and powerful amplifier in home audio.
I have to say though Pulse Width/Wave Modulator and Linear Field Radiating in the same sentence is so badass.
DPA1000, DPA1250, etc. Digital Power Amp.
I know Ben already mentioned PA, but not everyone will know that it doesn't stand for "Power Amp" but for "Pine Acre".
I've always thought "Muskoka" is powerful and meaningful.
Tom, in the "PA" Category, I was sure you'd go for "I".
Here goes:
Axiom Dark Star D-1500, Axiom Super Nova D-1250 and Axiom Galaxy D-1000
But if you
really want to be cool, call them
Lee Marvin Power Blocks.
I could see why ST could not be used in a direct reference to Spinal Tap....
but even if it was just called the Axiom Eleven it would be wickedly funny and so many people would get the joke. Great Idea!
I'll see your Lee Marvin and raise you Jack Palance.

My vote goes to Spongebob Squareamps. I've always wanted a squid button on my amp. The Eh series is a close second, and a nod goes to ampagedon as, that is surely what happens to your system when you turn these amps to 11.
Axiom 1812
Named after the overture. You want to hear cannons in your living room? These are the amps.
I'd go with something like this:
AXAMP 10002

It was mentioned that the specs were being kept a bit conservative until production-scale qualification was finished. If the 1500-series per-module power output could be tweaked from 325/650 to 333/666 watts per channel you might be onto something.

My only entry,
I like things named after their designer/engineer. So, AW for that. I noticed that the power levels on 5 channels went from 625W to 1225W to 1660W. Kind of a log scale, which you would expect from an amp. So, to keep it simple...

A nice tie-in with the definition of Axiom:
1. a self-evident truth that requires no proof.
2. a universally accepted principle or rule.
3. Logic, Mathematics . a proposition that is assumed without proof for the sake of studying the consequences that follow from it.
Ok.... Axiom Proof xxx series amps.
Both mathematical/logical terms.... keep the brand going.

Axiom Reference series or ARSe for short
...like in "arse" ? ;-)
I can see it now:
"It's 97 degrees outside, but due to my new amp being digital, my Arse is not sweating it!"
Wouldn't want to have swamp-ARS, right St_PatGuy?
I have four names that I'd like to throw into the hat.
1. Evidence
2. Premise
3. Reason
4. Truth (though I believe Behringer use this for a speaker line)
If I were to choose one, I'd submit "Evidence".
An axiom is a premise so evident that it is accepted as true, without controversy.
The proof, as they say, is in the pudding. Evidence, in this case, being the proof.
Besides, Axiom Evidence just rolls off the tongue nicely doesn't it?
Full disclosure - I won the outdoor M3 naming contest. I hope this does not disqualify me from this contest!
Good luck to all.

Oops! As mentioned in the first post of the tread, you are limited to three entries, and the contest ended on May 15th (yesterday).

I think the 3 Stooges names would have been the bomb.

Carry, Loe, and Murly, right?

I was going to suggest this, but these names are pretty played out/taken in the world of audio:

This is suspenseful! All I can say at this point is there is a close race going on between two of the names, and the Big Kahuna must now decide. Oh, the angst!
I'm all angsty. Daddy needs a new center. Or at least an excuse.
No, no no no! I need some surrounds.

Congratulations Haoleb! And of course thank you to everyone who entered. There was a three-way tie for second place, but this name was the winner overall.
Congrats! And Charles, that was funny!
Cool! Now when I tell Joyce that we have to make the studio ADA compliant, I can justify buying lots of amps!
Remind me to not pick a name not already in use next time. I didn't google the names I had picked until now. All three of them are already names of an amp (Apollo, Zeus, Spongebob).
Now the hard part. How to spend the Axiom Bux... Hmmmm
Thank you Axiom!
Congratulations, Brandon!
Way to go Brandon, I was born in Maine, maybe I was one of the ties for second. If so then what would have been the odds of two Maniacs running one two.

Well I have only been here for just about 2 years now. I'm originally from Hawaii. Cant really call myself a Mainer just yet.
WOW! Talk about bucking the "go West & South (young man)" trend. You headed East & North. Welcome to the mainland, Brandon. That must have been a big change in climate, environment, and culture.
Yeah, Blame it on a woman. A mutual friend who I used to work with in hawaii introduced us and one of us had to move if there was ever going to be anything. As it happens now SHE wants to go to hawaii and move away from Maine for a while to try something different. We'll see!
AH! I should have guessed there was a woman behind this.
