I just clicked on my screen name to see what my new profile looked like to others and it gives my member #! Is this new? Well, I'm # 258! I guess that makes me an "old" member, but my status is still only "local"! I had better start posting some more!
I'm # 3869, It's been awhile since I felt that young again
I'm more worried about the avatar Axiom has given me--a silhouette with a question mark in my head.
I think it's fitting.
ummm....827.
#1632. Jeez Mary, you must've registered when you were in grade school. Lovely avatar, by the way.
Hey Mary, you registered on May 1st of 02, and I registered just 15 days later!! (Member #293) I can't beleive I've been hanging out here for 4 years!
That was back in the day when Sushi was posting. Remember him?
I'm 4007. Cool, I get a "007"!
Licensed to Ill!
#2596. Boy, makes you wonder what happened to the other 2500+ registered users....
#395 7/20/02. I feel so Axiom old
1772
nice avatar by the way...mmmm mmmm
Wow. I registered right after spiffnme. I'm #828. What's scary is now your post counts are displayed for all the world to see...

Maybe some of us post too much?
Nice, round, Nine Hundred, to put it in Ford style.
Heh. Ford style.
Too many posts? Nah...

Yes, I remember Sushi! Where is he now? I remember the pictures of his home theater. It was very lovely! Also, if I recall, he was really an advocate for the projector and screen. I'm not sure if many of us had that type of setup back then. Now that he's gone, I think sirquack has taken up that position for him.
Ah, Sushi. Great guy. Wish he was still around.
I remember Sushi well. We had been to each other houses twice for listening sessions. I even brought my Magnepans over for him to audition once (he told me that he was going to replace his Hales with Maggies). It was a very pleasant experience. Then he became a ghost and stopped posting on the boards and didn't reply to emails or phone messages left on his machine.
I hope he comes back to the boards someday.
Sushi stopped posting almost exactly when I started. BOY! That was a lousy trade, eh? At least he knew what he was talking about.
Yep I also remember Sushi...
Also wish he were still posting...
BTW, Member # 1487...Mary must have joined LOOONG before I did...I even remember the "Thunderbirds" looking avatar she used to use...

#3962 Are those numbers sequential?

Jack, as much as we miss Sushi, we would miss you just as much or more if you left! I also believe you certainly know what you're talking about when you are able to help people...and you do so a lot. So, don't say you were a lousy trade. Instead, you were a nice addition!
3360 HERE.
Whoa...what does that mean....
Thank you, Mary. A very gracious compliment warmly appreciated.

Rick, what happend to your avatar? It shrank and is slightly freaking out.
P.S. Glad to see you back in action. Someone needs to remind Randy about those M80's.
I'm not sure why it's like it is. Someone with more computer knowlege might have to give me a hand fixxin it up.
Try resizing the origianl avatar to fit the new forum size of 75 x 75.
Have you tried to reload your avatar in your user settings? (you might need to select no avatar first then try again)
Problem Rick is having is with the animation of his avatar, the needle is no longer active.
More like hyperactive! You're supposed to be taking it easy, big fella!
Well, at least the needle is stuck at 11...Or +1
Could be worse...

Lost my sig again...
Hey at #1814 I'm not as late to the game as I thought I was
783...I knew I was somewhere in the top 1000. I know I got the speakers in 3/2003 and saw that I registered 3/9/2003, so I guess I didn't waste much time. I know I looked for many months before that, so I think I had it pretty well narrowed down before I signed up here.
#283 here and I remember back in the days before a registration was required to post that you could post as "anonymous". Posted as such quite a few times deriding some of the bizarre audio beliefs that seemed to be much more prevalent on the board at that time.
Sushi(Dr. Yanagisawa) seems to be doing very well professionally and I noticed that he was the keynote speaker last month at a conference in Florida on sleeping disorders. Yes, he certainly is missed.
#1532 but skulked for quite some time before that...
Bren R.
How embarassing, I can't even figure out how to see my number...I hate computers.
WOW, had to post to figure it out. I STILL hate computers!
Click your name. You're #3821
That's odd. I certainly don't FEEL like a 1791.
Wow, Jack, how does it feel to be on the delivering end of a Methuselah-themed zinger for a change?
I once heard a story about a pot and a kettle...
OUCH!!!
Errr, what were we talking about?
I was too embarassed to put it down! (Once I finally found out how to do it.) Guy
# 2955 Still just newbie it seems.
Hey! That's my number!
Or at least it would have been if I had just signed up rather than takin' the easy way out and goin "Anonymous" in those days!!
I did that for a while, as I am sure most of us did.
I'm still doing it.....#2138
I must be an idiot; I don't see my number anywhere, but I've been registered here for several years (long enough that my Axioms were purchased at retail). Cheers.
DS.
I really am an idiot. The number is right there, plain as day, #27. Cheers.
DS.
Ah! A gentleman who truly understands that it's not the quantity that matters.........................it's the quality.
400..
And I have still never posted a photo of my set up
Well, my son gets home on the 12th.. If things go right, I should post by that weekend.. Fingers crossed, eh..
#1422
I sure don't have much to say, do I?
Al, stop padding your post count!
That's tellin' 'im, Sean!
*bumP*
I just noticed my member number (begin dirty jokes... NOW!) is 3999, whereas it used to be 4007.
Wha-happen!
Sounds like maybe your member status is decreasing with old age ... I believe it's normal. Not that *I* would know anything about that.
I'm 2593. Don't recall what I was before or if it was ever different.
Same as before: 901.
Wait, it's not the same as before. It used to be 900.
Oh my god, I'm Bose!
I lost 3 numbers. Was 1632; now 1629. What a coincidence!!!! That's the year I was born.
Jack, I think you may have mixed up the numbers a bit there. My sources have it as 1296.
I stand corrected
(actually, at my age, I'm in the prone position) .
Hey, JP, just got the quote.
#1337
I wish.
#3822
EDIT: By adding or subtracting 1 to each digit, then rearranging, I could possibly come up with 1337. Subtract 1 from 8, subtract 1 from 2, add 1 to 2, rearrange. LEET. Bed Time?
