Ok, now I have a problem. Whenever I try to open the privacy tab in the firefox browser to delete cookies/history the browser gives me an error message and shuts down so I can't delete the history. HELP!

Just tried Firefox here using version 1.0 and have no issues with doing that, what version are you using ?

When in doubt, upgrade!

OS is XP Pro. Version of ff is 1.5. Can you still download 1.0 somewhere?

Try going into Task Manager after closing Firefox. See if it's leaving itself in memory. Kill the task then open it up again and see if you can't clear your cache.

You could always manually delete your cache/cookies.

Go to \Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\default.xm5 and delete the cookies.txt file.

I uninstalled and re-installed ff a number of times. I finally ran a program called CCleaner, uninstalled ff using that program, re-installed and all is well, now.
