Looks like they remastered the original and it's supposed to be broadcast on Sept 16 but I can't find out where. Anyone know what station/network?
Yahoo TV says "Star Trek 2.0" runs from 1pm to 3pm on G4 (DirecTV channel 354).
Don't think that's it. The original series is being broadcast in HD on 9/16. I can't find the network though.
Well, Cesar,
here's the S.F.area stations that should carry it(Sunday).
Oops. Star Trek 2.0 seems to be a crappy melding of ST and marketing.
Looks like John has you covered, though.
Well, looks like on G4 it's the marketing (surprise!). We'll see about on regular TV.
However, they're not even showing the episodes in order. Not a good sign.
Plus the SF station they listed doesn't seem to know it's showing it...
Thanks John!
However, FMU, even though it's remastered to HD, it's not going to be broadcast in HD. What a waste. On the HTGuys podcast, they mentioned at the last convention they attended, that they were watching the TOS converted. The HD was pretty impressive. I was hoping to see that...oh well, let's see what my local channel can do.
Ok......"melding"....I just couldn't let that one get by un-noticed.
...or at least acknowledged!!
Been watching on G4. It looks pretty good!
Yeah, I saw "Miri" this week. I almost thought they were showing the old version until the tail end of the opening credits. Very low key updates--very much unlike certain movies that I'm not allowed to mention around here any more. It was actually pretty good! I mean, the dialog is somewhat stilted, I could do without the mood lit closeups of Shatner, the acting's not great... but the story was actually pretty interesting.
I don't think I was old enough when I watched these last time around.
