Not sure where to post this, so here it is in the Water Cooler section.
I'm pulling together wall decorations for the new media room and I figured since Axiom plays a HUGE part I'd like to find a poster, wall art, anything. I looked in the Fun Store, hoping for a poster or something, nope. Such a thing doesn't exist to my knowledge.
So, I figure I've got a couple options, hopefully none that would draw the ire of the Axiom folks and their copyright lawyers:
1) Beg on the forums for someone to dig a tradeshow poster or whatever out of the closet and send it to me for a negotiated price. <beg />
2) Beg on the forums to see if I can get my hands on a high quality graphic of the logo. <beg />
3) Grab a logo off the website and manually create a vector graphic so it can scale to poster size. (bleh)
4) Get lucky. Axiom suddenly starts selling posters on their Fun Store (awesome!)
Other suggestions are welcome. As a disclaimer, this would be for my own personal use.
For number 2, I know that Axiom has happily obliged people who've contacted them directly.
I'm not a lawyer though i imagine for home, personal use, such thing would not be a problem.
Making gains on the sale of such material or for that matter, giving it away en masse might irk the company somewhat.
Unique items for one's home could be considered their own art. I do recall someone finding some material on ebay for sale that had an Axiom logo branded on it but i'm not sure if this was something distributed some time back that was bought from the company at one point.
Re-selling such items should be legal but again, the lawyer types can weigh in the numerous opposing opinions on such things.
It is always a necessary courtesy and good faith to ask and get things in writing from the company first. I doubt Monster would ever let you even draw a picture of a monster and then name it Monster because after all, no one can use the word Monster anymore without getting sued.
You can find Axiom wall plaques on ebay. Not that I support what the guy is doing as im quite sure he doesnt have the rights to reproduce these logo's but here ya go
The guy has quite a selection. Even monster cable, however i noticed he made sure to put the ® on it though.

I believe I've seen Axiom provide files to people before. Here's an old thread that may help out as well...

Hmm...all good ideas. I'll try the direct contact method first.
Haoleb, I saw that guy on Ebay. I just didn't feel right going for that until I put some due diligence towards doing the right thing. This guy is clearly making these signs on his own and is clearly not licensed to do so.
Anyone have some suggestions on a good vector drawing program that won't set me back a few G's? Back when I was closer to that industry, Adobe Illustrator was king...it may still be, for all I know.
As far as I know, it still is. It's just buggy as hell.
Yup. With Illustrator, it's pretty easy to take a bitmapped image (like a JPG or GIF), blow it up a bit, and trace over it to make a nice vector image.
I have some high quality Axiom logos that I got direct from Axiom back in late 2004. I have them in high quality .JPG, .PSD, .GIF, and .EPS
Multiple versions of some of the same file types.
Send me a PM with your email address, and I can send them to you.
I too have the same problem. Would love a poster with AXIOM logo on it. Maybe 3ftx4ft would be great!
I just emailed axiom for a high res logo, and Andrea sent me one...simple as that!
I mailed a request after hours yesterday evening and got a reply back from Amie first thing this morning.

Hi Ken;
Thanks for your e-mail! We would be happy to include an Axiom poster with your order. Good luck finishing up your media room, and thank you for including us in the decor!
Kind regards,

Always going above and beyond. You guys keep saying it. Now I'm seeing it first hand. Incredible.
On a related side note, I found a very good open source drawing program called Inkscape. At first glance, it looks quite nice. Good enough for my skill level, that's for sure.
I've had a few people request the files from me, and I've sent them all 6 of varying file extensions and so forth. If anyone else needs it, you can PM me.
While picking up my speakers from Axiom the other day, I saw a poster in the listening room that caught my eye.. I told Debbie who was giving me a tour that I thought it was a cool poster and i would buy one in an instant if they were available .. She smiled and said I'll see what i can do ..
