Heres mine at 1 yr old.

On her 1st camping trip last fall.

And yesterday afternoon.

Her name is Zuzu, she is a (scary smart) Blue Heeler and turned 3 this past Valentines Day.

She has turned into one fine dog.

Thanks for sharing the pics, Brady. An unusual breed.
Posted By: Lorenzo1000 Re: Gone to the dogs. - 03/20/07 03:23 AM
That's a beautiful girl you have there!
Posted By: pmbuko Re: Gone to the dogs. - 03/20/07 12:01 PM
Nice looking dog. Here's some pics of my beast, a pit (Am Staff/Lab mix).

Sunny is in the front, leading my sister's dog (a South African Boerboel) across a lawn.

Here she is a little bit unsure of what's happening off-camera to the right.

Here, she's snoozing on the floor.

Here's my little guy Bogart, he's a Havanese.

And here's a few of my pup, Luna (pit/pointer mix):

Awesome photographs, everyone. I'll never look that good in a photo.

GREAT looking dogs!
I especially like this part of one of the pics.

HAPPY DOG!

Peter
Thats the Mastiff right??
My XGF had a Bull Mastiff that was/is a fantastic dog.
I think he weighed 150lbs and was as tall as me when he would do this stand up trick and put his paws on my shoulders.
He was a good dancer too.

Really nice job on the pics Adam.

Edit
I see now thats it isnt a Mastiff.
Dont know why I thought I read that.
Posted By: AdamP88 Re: Gone to the dogs. - 03/20/07 11:21 PM
He's basically a mastiff on steroids.

He's a big goofball, actually. He and Luna make good playmates outdoors, but whenever she's over at his place, he has this need to exert his dominance indoors and it pisses Luna off. One of these days he's going to get a nice snap on the nose.
Posted By: tomtuttle Re: Gone to the dogs. - 03/20/07 11:41 PM
You've seen her in my avatar, but she'd be hurt if not included. Behold, Tillie the German Shorthair Pointer - the World's Most Tense Nose-with-a-dog-attached.

Posted By: bray Re: Gone to the dogs. - 03/20/07 11:54 PM
We had a German Short Hair when I was growing up.
He was the sweetest dog ever. Wouldnt hurt a fly but was scared to death of water.
We had rescued him and couldnt come up with a good name.
He ended up answering to "Boy".
Posted By: tomtuttle Re: Gone to the dogs. - 03/21/07 12:35 AM
Yeah, she is really sweet, but I can't begin to start a list of the things that she's scared of. Hats are a big problem.
Posted By: Lorenzo1000 Re: Gone to the dogs. - 03/21/07 12:52 AM
My girl Sasha (cocker spaniel/lab cross) decided she wanted to send a big woof out to the other Axiom dogs.

Sasha Fuzzy

Sasha- not so fuzzy

Poor poor Sasha not so fuzzy.

Really? Put this one when she misbehaves!
Posted By: Lorenzo1000 Re: Gone to the dogs. - 03/21/07 01:51 AM
Yep, poor Sasha - not so fuzzy. Over-exposed in more ways than one.
Posted By: pmbuko Re: Gone to the dogs. - 03/21/07 02:22 AM
Poor Sasha, not so, err, umm, shapely.
Posted By: Lorenzo1000 Re: Gone to the dogs. - 03/21/07 02:35 AM
Yep, Sasha not so shapely either, shhh she might hear you.

She's got a good appetite and she's getting up there in age too. Time to start with the "D" word
Posted By: millerbrad Re: Gone to the dogs. - 03/21/07 03:46 AM
Well then, here are some skinny dogs to even things out.

Zoe & Mia, our Italian Greyhounds. They're like greyhounds, only smaller (about 10 pounds each). Funny thing is, people who see them either think they're cute or butt-ugly. Nothing in between.
Posted By: pmbuko Re: Gone to the dogs. - 03/21/07 11:36 AM
All dogs are cute. Especially the butt-ugly ones. Some dogs are gorgeous or handsome in addition to being cute, though.
Posted By: bray Re: Gone to the dogs. - 03/21/07 11:46 AM
My thoughts exactly.
I think Greyhounds, Italian or standard, are BEAUTIFUL dogs.
I mean.... Just look at them run.
Posted By: Zarak Re: Gone to the dogs. - 03/21/07 09:58 PM
I'd post pictures of the cutest dog ever (yes, I'm probably a bit biased), but I don't have somewhere to host the pictures so that I can link to them here.
Posted By: bray Re: Gone to the dogs. - 03/21/07 10:54 PM
Try Photobucket its free. Base membership anyway.

No excuses for keeping the "cutest dog ever" from us.
Posted By: DanielBMe Re: Gone to the dogs. - 03/21/07 11:28 PM
Hey wait a min. THe cutest dog ever pic was already posted on the first page. Sure I might be biased since he's my dog but Bogart is the cutest!

He is cute................ for a dog with no eyes.
Posted By: Zarak Re: Gone to the dogs. - 03/22/07 01:10 AM
Just one pic for now...let's see if this works. Here he is, the cutest dog in the world! I'm looking through all my pictures, but they really don't do him justice.
Posted By: Zarak Re: Gone to the dogs. - 03/22/07 01:19 AM
I found one more to post too. My dog, Ollie has shorter hair in this one. He is with my parents dogs, Dillon and Lacy. Sadly, Dillon had to be put down back in November.

Dillon is a Wheaten Terrier. Lacie is a Havenese (2nd one on this thread), and Ollie is a Cockapoo.

lmao I know he needed to get groomed there. You can now see his eyes...I'll have to get another pic of him.
Posted By: DanielBMe Re: Gone to the dogs. - 03/22/07 01:31 AM
Wow Lacie looks totally different than my Havanese. I would never have guessed. My guy is a real outdoors type of Havanese. Loves to run, chew (he actually chewed the baseboards in my kitchen) and basically do anything that involves mischief...he's quite the acrobat actually.
Posted By: Zarak Re: Gone to the dogs. - 03/22/07 03:33 AM
She's the opposite. Doesn't play much and can be a bit of a grumpy old lady when Ollie is around. She's submissive as well, with some bladder control issues.
Posted By: BrenR Turtle-y Cool? - 03/22/07 04:10 AM
Well, she's not a dog, but this is what makes me outnumbered 2-1 in the house by females. Raph, my 17 year old red-earred slider.

I just saw the movie for the first time last night. It was painfully funny.
Posted By: medic8r Re: Turtle-y Cool? - 03/22/07 01:31 PM
I liked it as well, but I was disappointed that the trailers and ads gave away so many of the jokes. The deleted scenes were as good or better than the movie because of their freshness ...

Bren, cool turtle, love the coloring!

Here is our pug Quenton. He is the most hyper dog I have ever seen, he loves the camera too.

A guy walks into a bar with a little yellow long-nosed, short-legged dog under his arm.

"That's one ugly dog", says another guy, while petting his Doberman.

"Heh",says the yellow dog guy, "but he's a mean little devil."

"That so?", says the doberman owner, "I'll bet $20 my Doberman will whip your dog in less than two minutes!"

The guy agrees and they put their dogs face to face. Each gives the command to attack. In the twinkling of an eye the little yellow dog bites the Doberman in half. The Doberman's owner is crying and cussing, and screams "What kind of dog is this?"

"Well" says the guy, "before I cut off his tail and painted him yellow he was an alligator."
Posted By: BrenR Re: Turtle-y Cool? - 03/22/07 05:52 PM
I've yet to see Borat... but Raph's looking a bit worn out in that pic... it's egg-laying season... poor girl's been through a lot. Fortunately, we've only witnessed her actually laying once... but it's reminiscent of a C-5 Galaxy being loaded through the nose.

The pink-y red has been a new addition to her colour scheme since she came of reproductive age.

Not bad for starting out life the size of a nickel... she's now the size of a small dinner plate and lives in a 70 gallon tank in the rec room.

She's also of a species that has no actual life expectancy, they die only of injury or illness, I don't remember the $10 word for it, but she could well outlive me. Kind of neat to share your living space with a direct dinosaur descendant... especially one with the brain the size of a pea that still maintains quite a unique personality.

p.s. negligible senescence is the term, I believe... thank you, Google.

Hey, that's a cool term. If I don't overuse it, I'll be surprised.

The name Kashi fits this face perfectly.

Posted By: Ray3 Re: Turtle-y Cool? - 03/23/07 12:28 AM
Well, here are a few pics of Molly (who has been looking at you from my avatar). She is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a major love bug.

Posted By: Ray3 Re: Turtle-y Cool? - 03/23/07 04:33 PM
Yeah, but I can get past that because it makes me feel pretty.

You GO Ray!
Whatever makes you feel "pretty" is ok by me.
Posted By: snakeyes Re: Turtle-y Cool? - 03/24/07 01:09 PM
I think this has been discussed before but she looks like a monster in your avatar. you would never think she was so small. lol
Posted By: Ray3 Re: Turtle-y Cool? - 03/24/07 03:41 PM
How's this Jake? The previous avatar showed her as the hairy terrorist she ACTUALLY is. Now she looks like the Princess she THINKS she is.

lol i didn't have a problem with the original but it just did not seem like the same dog.

Gawjus, Brady!
Posted By: bray Re: This is for the birds! - 03/25/07 02:02 AM
Bijou is a Budgerigar Parakeet.
Besides that he is a published prop.
One of the studios I work at often had bought him for a prop to appear in a Brookstone catalog. When the photo shoot was over they thought they could just let him go and he would be fine.
He wouldnt have lasted the night in the wild in the dead of winter.
Soooo..... I decided to take him home.
I had another Parakeet when I was young so I already knew a bit about them.
They make GREAT pets if given a little attention.
Bijou (for the most part) flys the house as he pleases but usually sticks close to his cage. He LOVES music. His favorite artists are Elvis and Johnny Cash.
Really!
I discovered that while watching "I Walk The Line".
Every time Johnny or Elvis would sing, Bijou would go crazy bobbing his head and flying around me from shoulder to shoulder.
He'll get in his cage when I tell him and ring his bells on command.
He also loves taking a bath under the kitchen faucet standing on the sink divide with a small stream of water flowing on him.
Great pet!
Posted By: Zarak Re: This is for the birds! - 03/25/07 03:15 AM
Is he trained to only use his cage to relieve himself? I hope so if you let him fly around the house. If he is, I didn't know you could train birds to do that.
Posted By: bray Re: This is for the birds! - 03/25/07 03:36 AM
I didnt train him to just use his cage, but that seems to be where he enjoys reading the paper the most.
Every once in a while I have to clean up a little bird doo elsewhere.
