JP! Happy Birthday, my friend!

Don't forget to self-medicate.

What would you have me drink in your honor in absentia?

Have a great day!

Happy BDay JP!

Thanks everybody!

I feel blessed to have found such a nice community to hang out in. You guys (and gals) are too cool. You make it easier to begin my last year in my thirties.

I'm working on my birthday, but I'm fresh off a week in Miami, so I can't complain. I went down there for some continuing education (got to do 30 hours/year). Mrs. Medic8r and Medic8r Jr. were along for the (plane) ride and we all had a really good time. Nolan had never seen the ocean before, and he loved it. He was very brave. Not knowing that Tropical storm Barry was hitting Tampa, we went to the beach in some gray, windy weather the first day. Nolan was really calm though, as he sat on my knee on the water's edge.

The last three days were much better, the typical high 80s with scorching sun. Only the Mrs. got a burn; we manly folk stayed under the umbrella more.

Got a sweet conference deal on the Fairmont Turnberry Isle Resort and Club and the grounds there were splendid. If you ever get a chance to stay at a Fairmont, jump on it. I've been eyeing some of the others, especially the lodge in Banff Springs, Alberta. Truly beautiful. Canada rocks! (with Axioms!!!)

But I digress. Life is good at Medic8r Manor, where tonight the wife is cooking spaghetti with homemade sauce (a special treat) and German Chocolate cake.

Tom, my tastes lie in the brown ale to stout spectrum of the beer rainbow, so have something dark for me. I'll probably pop open a Guinness or Newcastle.

Thanks again all, for a second year of birthday wishes. Has it been that long? Maybe by the big 40, I'll have posted some pics of the newly-named Navajome Theater (formerly Stately Swing Manor Imperial Armchair Theater), and maybe I'll have burned sonicfox that TMBG CD I've been promising ever since she did that electronic mix for us.

J.P., I hope you had a great Birthday! It's almost 8 o'clock here--just about missed it.
Posted By: pmbuko Re: Happy Birthday Dr. Axiom - 06/12/07 05:34 AM
We never made it to Tommy's, but I'm not complaining. I started my night with a free Hoegaarden at the welcome shindig at the tech conference, then I had a "free" (someone else paid) IPA at Thirsty Bear, then I had a couple different añejo tequilas and a Negro Modelo at Trés Agaves. And some dinner.

Hope your birthday was better!

Because I care about the planet, I'm recycling last year's Happy Birthday JP thread.

Have a great day, my friend. Enjoy your family.

And your meds.

The shoutbox just isn't right without you.

Cheers!

Excellent example of recycling indeed, Tom!

Happy Birthday(again), Doc!

Incidentally, I'd like to tell you how much your latest avatar has helped me. Can't imagine who the guy might be, but somehow just looking at him inspires me to lie down, relax and talk about my troubles. I'll try to remember to send you details of where to send your bill.

J.P., have a great birthday! Thanks for helping me get through the workday by offering endless hours of amusement.

By the way, if I get fired due to productivity issues, I will find out where you live. . .and. . .well, I'd at least throw an egg at your mailbox.

Happy birthday, JP. Down some decent beer for once, won't you?

And have a salad.

No, jello doesn't count.

Thanks again, everyone!

Looking at the post I made last year, it's funny to see that the more things change, the more they stay the same:

And to begin my forties. Hmm, today is my first day as a 40-year-old. Now where's my red sports car, dammit?

This time, we're just off a trip to Virginia Beach last weekend, and Nolan, who turns 3 in August, was afraid of the ocean. I think it's a phase where he is now old enough to understand the forces involved in waves and the vastness of the ocean. Otherwise, it was a fun trip, with playing in the sand and a trip to the Virginia Aquarium.

Oops, I'm 0 for 2 there. After the basement gets waterproofed and the carpet gets put back, etc, I'll get the pix taken. Promise. ;\) And I'll send Mary a medic8r mix CD to make up for the delay in the TMBG discs.

Thanks again, everybody!

Sean, wasn't Dr. Axiom the bad guy in that classic Negative Orange music video?

Now THAT is some funny stuff, right there! \:D

Kudos to JP for being so ... accountable on his birthday.

40 is the new 28, buddy.

40 is easy Doc. 41 sucks. At 40, you're just 40. At 41, you're "in" your 40's. 42 things get better. At 42, you're just getting old.

On a positive side....HAPPY B-DAY!!

Doc,

A happy Birthday to you.......and ALL the others, (many of which I was not able to wish a "happy Birthday" in a timely manner) who have had, or are about to have, or are having now, or just had, or will have, a birthday of their own. I hope I haven't left out anyone.

Oh yes, a happy belated May Birthday to me!

Sorry to the lastest set of birthdays - I kind of missed you all, promising myself I'd check in again in a bit.

So happy birthday to the 5 or 6 of you that I missed.

Weak, I know.
