I have been upgrading piece-by-piece since June (VP-150, QS-8, M-80 and now EP-500). It is completed now! (I will add 2QS-8 next month, but I don't expect as drammatic a change as all the previous upgrades).

It took me a good 10 minutes to set the EP-500! I was half-expecting having to haul that 75 pounds all over the place for days! (I might still do it this weekend just to make sure it is at a optimal-enough place for sound quality and not being in the way!). But no, just a few tweaks (removed the ground screw to eliminate a ground loop), used my ears (SPL meter at a friend's place) to match power of my 100W Yamaha, set the TRIM to HALF, then to FULL (lots of obstacle in the heavily populated large room) and then, it was still a little off... flip the phase switch... subwoofer gone! To the point that I kept getting up to put my hand on it to make sure it was playing and it wasn't my M-80 that had learn to go deeper! Pretty cool last touch to my HT! Tried the above settings in different combinations, and the "WOW" one obtained after flipping the switch is the right one for its location in my room.

Neighboors are downstairs, so I can only use the sub for music for now (and one episode of House, which is a show that has a fair amount of bass). So far, so good. Quite impressed. When neighboors are gone, I already have a few DVD and HD-DVD ready to try out (LOTR, Matrix, SW). Will probably cause structural dammage to the house!

So, to all Axiom engineers, GREAT JOB!
To every Axiom employee involved in any phase of customer interaction, AMAZING JOB (all deliveries reached my place within 24 hours!!!).

And a special congratulation to Ian (and whomever may feel concerned, since I don't know all the management details and history of your company). Being a manager and part owner of an engineering company, I can appreciate that great products and great service are usually due to positive atmosphere, respect and a focussed sense of direction (the one we keep forgetting about!). And all of that is usually the result of all-too-rare good management.

This post is a lot longer than intended, but I am truly grateful for the products you have put out there and the team that was assembled.

Thanks again!

Felicitations, monsieur Eric. It sounds like you experienced the same euphoric moment that I did 8 months ago. Now let the tweaking begin .

Finally got some time to watch an action movie (Jurassic Park) now that I have the whole 80/500. WOW! When the T-Rex appeared, someone in the room (me) went "Holy Crap!". After that I watched Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (because I had seen it in theaters)... and there's no place like home! M-80 blew my mind for music, but for action movies, the EP-500 (that I had to move behind the couch because of new HT furniture coming in next Saturday) is hard to beat. What power combined with musical basses!

So, after next Saturday, I will be able to post some pictures.
