Anyone try this out yet?

I played the demo and really like it... finished the 1st puzzle completely in world 1.

I am thinking about buying it, but at 1,200 MS points ($15) I find the price a little steep for an arcade game.

I highly suggest to anyone with a 360 to try the game... can't say for sure whether it is worth 1200 points though, or why it is over the typical 800 point price tag of most other games though.

I bought it and am enjoying it, but I already feel really stupid. It's taking me forever to figure out the puzzles, and I'm only on World 3. The art style and music are very cool, and it's cool when I actually do figure out the puzzles. I would recommend people try it, too, definitely, especially if you're smarter than I am.

Relating to sound, the boss I just defeated provided a nice rumble. Fun.

I ended up buying the game afterall.

I beat world three with the exception of 2 puzzle pieces. I need to go back through and rethink my gameplan.

I guess I will move on to world 4 for a while...

well, I just beat world 4.. took a while to figure out how to get all the stinking puzzle pieces.

I still can't quite figure out how to get the 2 pieces I am missing for world 3.

I need to take a break from this game, it is making my head hurt!

Yeah, isn't it horrible? I still only have all of the pieces from World 2. I haven't had the patience to figure out any of the other worlds yet.

Yes world 4 was very tough.. had to think very hard... and when that didn't work I resorted to brute force and tried everything possible until something worked!

well i beat this game tonight.

I got all 60 puzzle pieces, but I do have to admit that i cheated twice... used a youtube walkthrough to get 2 pieces that were driving me crazy.

I feel a little guilty, but hey... 58 out of 60 ain't bad eh?
Posted By: CV Re: Braid: The Xbox Live Arcade title - 08/15/08 04:53 AM
Not bad. I'll probably cheat more, though I'm really bad at playing my games lately, so who knows when I'll even get around to cheating. \:D So what game are you tackling next?

not sure... put back in oblivion the last few days... going to finish all of the fighters guild quests I guess.

Oblivion's always good. I never did finish getting my marksman skill up all of the way. I'm really looking forward to seeing how Fallout 3 turns out. I never played the first two, but my best friend played them and loved them. People seem to worry about how Bethesda's interpretation is going to be, but since I'm not attached to the originals, I know I'll be fine with it.

Oblivion is probably one of my favorite games to date. I spent a ridiculous amount of time with that game. The only reason I don't play it anymore is because there is nothing left to play.

That alone is making me very excited for Fallout 3. If it's anything like Oblivion, which it looks like it will be, I know I'll love it. I, too, have never played the first two so could care less as to how much of the original it maintains.

I'm kind of on the fence for Fable 2 right now. I enjoyed the first one once all the way through, but never had the desire to play it again after that. Fable 1 was also my first RPG, so my expectations may be a bit higher now.

Something I hope they don't carry over from Fable to Fable II is the way the simple enemies you start off fighting get stronger as you level up. It kind of defeats the purpose of raising your character's stats if the supposedly weak enemies can take your god-like character so long to beat. I actually never even finished Fable. Hopefully the sequel keeps me more interested.

The four games in the elder scrolls series are Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind, and Oblivion.

I played daggerfall, morrowind and oblivion. My stepdad used to play Arena but I never did... did see it in action though.

I am about 105 hours into oblivion... I only have to beat the fighters guild quests and then I will have completed all faction quests, main quests, and any other acheivement point that I might be forgetting. I think I am level 35.

I got my morrowind character up to level 74 (the max possible). Ever one of my main skills was maxed out and I had took over a small village of like 5 houses... killed all the people and used there houses as storage for all of my loot. I had one house but it got so full that couldnt put anything else down in it.

Fable was originaly called project ego or something in development. It was actually one of the reasons I wanted an xbox. I was pretty dissapointed in the game to be honest... some parts were cool. HOpefully Fable 2 will be a lot better. I will not buy it unless someone serieously changes my mind... but I am sure I will at least give it a rent.

Yeah, Fable really should have been a lot better considering how long it was in development, and also because of the lofty goals of the designer. Everything was scaled back to a ridiculous degree. It was supposed to be the ultimate in open-ended gameplay, and it ended up being almost a guided tour with no replay value.

That's impressive what you did in Morrowind. I played that game a lot, but I ended up playing Oblivion a lot more. I never played Arena or Daggerfall.

I stopped playing Oblivion after my monster truck ran out of gas.

I've been thinking about revisiting Oblivion. But the last few days i've been playing the new Bionic Commando, which is pretty neat. I never played the original. It's just an entertaining, if sometimes very difficult, arcade game.

I bought BC: Rearmed, too, but I haven't made any real time to play it. I played the original enough to complete it several times. I always liked the game, but yeah, it's frustrating, and I think more frustrating on the Xbox 360 controller.

Yeah the problem I run into with it is that the control pad is crappy to use for anything but strictly aiming the arm, and the analog stick is just fine for all movement until it comes to using the arm.

Kind of a Tough Choice.

I bought Bionic Commando as well. very difficult game! I had some freinds over last night, and at about 2:30 they left.. all except for one friend that is. We ended up playing BC for another hour before we passed out... We beat the first stage boss but that was as far as we got! Kept dying on the second level.

Going to give it a shot in a few...
