AKA The Day of a Million Soups!

So in honor of Regina this year, I decided I should make soup, as there's a whole forum category dedicated to soup recipes in her official site's forum. I don't expect anyone else to celebrate the woman, but how many of you can I convince to make soup on that day? Come on, it's not like I'm asking you to change your avatar on my whim for an entire month.

I made a soup today, actually. We've done the recipe before, but this is the first time we used homemade chicken broth and lime juice (didn't have a lemon). Was different, but still tasty.

I might be making a soup on Nov. 11, as well, but I won't plan on it in advance.


So, if the soup you plan to make requires a lot of veggie chopping, you could say RSD 2008 gave you RSD.

At least, I'm pretty sure it was. Now I'll have to look up what song. Curse me.

Considering how much soup we eat (yay!), I find it highly likely we will be eating soup that day.

I must be wrong. I made that mental link a long time ago, and now I can't find anything to back it up. Of course, it doesn't help that I force myself not to listen to Regina Spektor very often. Just pretend I wasn't trying to show off my knowledge.

Here's hoping I don't wuss out. I've never tried making any soup before.

Oh, soup is easy. Right tasty. I highly recommend the cookbook "Simple Soups and Stews". By someone. As if that isn't a name for about 4000 books.

There are soup recipes in this book I bought recently, so I may use it.
