I want to get a jump start on the November avatar. October's seemed to flop for most people....
Or has that idea died with the failure in October?
I don't think we'll ever again get the participation we did at first. Everyone started feeling like they were too good for solidarity.
AH.... Crap, speaking of avatars, your flaming doughboy of death startled me!
My mind control powers are fading, alas.
Yeah, every month it seemed to get a little less special. That Muppet thread was awesome and probably will remain the unbreakable world record for participation. Of course, I thought Michael Johnson's 19.32 second 200m dash would be the record forever, and then Usain Bolt came along.
Seems like there's a half-dozen to a dozen regulars who are still into the project to some degree, but I fear they are outnumbered by the ones who view it with indifference or dislike. So, I was planning to drop it unless there was a call for it.
Per the original Muppet thread, November was going to be Star Trek, so it could be an interesting one if you guys want to do it.
Now, which doctor should I be? Hmmm ...
Oh! We're no longer doing the muppets?
Man, I'd like to do Trek, but I think we're pretty much burned out here.
Burned out after a couple of months of changing an avatar once every (approx) 30 days, yet you can ramble on enough to get more than 10,000 posts...
I don't believe you!
Ken is so close to Khaaaaaaaan!
Perfect.
Make it so!
Does this mean CapnPickard's day has at long last arrived?
I'm sticking with my fall winter Avatar for a time. Even though it has been abnormally warm so far this fall, today's our first rain day we've had, but it's supposed to warm again next week.
Talk about abnormally warm, we are in the 50-60s F still and are usually in the 20-40 F range.
We are supposed to hit 70 today in Des Moines, Iowa... Very warm for us right now. Usually it is rainy and about 40 degrees for Halloween. But that is another subject...
My god, Scotty, you're even fatter than I remember!

No kidding, Michael! I've had enough of this ninety degree weather. Woke up last night and heard it raining and though I hit a time warp, or something.
I could have lived a long, happy life without seeing that.
In my quest to find the wildest Trek avatar ever, this one works for now:
The (hyper-)animated Bones -- it's as if there's a metal spike on the ground and a cattle prod in front of him -- caused me to subtly alter my own avatar.
Photoshop show-off!
Or is that a different program that does animated gifs?
Photoshop does animation, too.
All right, I'm Guardian of Forever.
My mind control powers are fading, alas.
