JimiThat's one event I would have loved to have seen!
We're lucky this was filmed for posterity, most of the huge festivals of the late 60's, early 70's were not recorded
::sigh::....in a hundred years the kids will have thousands of clips of the Britney's, Hannah what's her name and that "too cool" M&M guy, but there'll be little of the real music available.
....before anyone says it...THOSE DAMN KIDS!!!
Hey you kids, get off that festival field!
Canned heat played the local blues featival here last week.
I was just a little young for Woodstock. I remember a friends older sister running off to a comune at 15. We thought that hippy stuff was just a little strange.
Sergeant Pepper taught the band to play.
Wait...

That's funny, I saw them here in Tehachapi in June.
Here is the lineup of the performers and songs from that weekend in Woodstock for those interested.
I own Jimi's concert DVD from Woodstock. I bought it with only the expectation that I'd be able to see him perform but was very pleasantly surprised how good the sound turned out considering when it was filmed, it's outdoors, live, and well.... I was just very surprised.
I have that disc also Murph and I too was pleasantly surprised with the audio portion.
Two degrees of Jimi Hendrix:
I saw the Monkees in concert (1986, 20th anniv. reunion tour)
The Monkees once toured with opening act Jimi Hendrix.

Jimi Hendrix
opened for the Monkees? What is wrong with this world?
Yeah, but the tour was a disaster and ended early. The teeny bopper Monkees fans weren't prepared for Jimi. I don't remember whose idea it was to pair them on tour, but it wasn't a good one!
