I don't usually reach for anejo when I'm hankering for tequila, but at $24/L this looked worth a try.

Smells like tequila. NBice fat agave mouth feel, sherry tones and woody palette, clean mineral finish woven with juicy liquor. Top notch value, IMO.

A little bit more morning-after effects than I would have expected, so enjoy in moderation. ;\)

I've been anywhere from pleasantly surprised to not underwhelmed with the Kirkland branded alcoholic beverages. I had no idea they were moving from wines and beer to hard alcohol, too. Unfortunately, here in Virginia you have to go to a state ABC to get liquor. \:\(

Same in Washington; the state has a monopoly on spirits.

I didn't like the Kirkland Beer. Had a couple pretty nice wines, though.

I'm sorry, it just sounds wrong. Tequila by the same people who make toilet paper.

Forgive my ignorance fellas but what is the origin of Kirkland beer, wine and spirits? I've never heard of it.

It's Costco's house brand.

Oh OK, it's been years and years since I've been into a Costco.

All their stuff is made by somebody else. The tequila is NOM 1472 - indicating the Tonalas distillery, apparently. They make this one, too, which you may have seen:
