Axiom Factory Visit - Circa 1990 - 09/08/10 01:14 AM
Ok, so here they are....As the story goes, after buying my AX3's, and spending many years - ok, decades - vacationing in the Near North of Ontario, one day I dropped into Axiom.
A stunned, dashing young man named Ian (identified from the brochure I posted, and had kept handy for a few years) greeted me, and was shocked to find out I would like a tour.
After sheepishly admitting he did not get many requests like this, he told me I could "simply wander around and have a look".
Little did he know I would be hanging around for the next 20 years!!!
The photos are a little grainy, as they are scans of old originals.
Enjoy!!
Factory Sign
Me standing with factory sign
Skid of AX 1.5’s
Assembly Area
Worker Assembling Speakers – note pieces of enclosure
The Assembly Line – AX 2 Bookshelf Models (my guess)
Yours truly, with more hair!!
