Holy Crap. I remember that commercial. Or at least it was REALLY familiar looking since I was 5 years old when it came out.

Sorry, Jack, that was a bit harsh.

My total count of available videos was only 35. You?

Oh, and any of yours include sound?

Exactly! Bob, all your comment elicited from me was laughter. I thought it a terrific, funny response and I enjoyed it immensely. grin

I didn't count the number, but there a bunch of vids, newsreels, scenes from movies, and even a Bugs Bunny Cartoon. There was one silent clip, probably an amateur film of a bombing (Germany?). All the rest had sound. One was on the surrender of Germany at the end of WWII. Another was demonstrating a new phenomenon called Television.

Actually, I lied for humorous affect. Several vids were in color, including the Bugs Bunny Cartoon.

1969.
I expected to see the moon landing and Woodstock but the funniest was an add to "Stop Cable TV". I guess that was money wasted. Although 40 some years later, they might actually be sweating a bit.
