Sometimes, no matter one's endeavors, it can be quite difficult to assess one's own performance without the likes of critiques, report cards or semi-annual reviews.

I have felt that way here for some time now, writhing in a murky pool of uncertainty and self-doubt. So, with all the "Notify" clicks garnered by my recent "controversial" post, I am relieved to know that I am "on time and under budget."

I'm so goal oriented, that my journey to any goal can look like the scenery from the window of a speeding car.

So, to all my "notifiers," I thank you for the confirmation that I AM doing my job. (I KNOW it was a conspricay between Ray, Fred, and Terry, but that's OK).

I DO understand your feelings and your reactions. It was a bit over the top and I would probaly feel exactly the same way if I were a phobe and not a sexual.

So now I've got one strike. If it's three-strikes-you're-out, I'd better make the next two REALLY count!

And please don't interpret that as a threat. A I JUST told you, they're GOALS.

Bob, it's okay. You make the rest of us feel NORMAL.

Now that's something right there!

That notification about daylight savings time ending was pretty off color.

I didn't know that we were playing baseball...

I see no worries here, then again, I am not sure exactly what "controversial" post you are talking about.

I think you are wonderful, Bob. Please keep sharing yourself with us.

I read it and thought it was hilarious. It wasn't controversial at all.

And speaking of baseball, I got this picture in an email the other day.

Funny -

Funnier because it's the Yankees.

Yup smile !

Given the events of September, I'm surprised it's not the Red Sox.

Wait, no, they don't have beer or fried chicken, so I'm not too surprised. Couldn't have been the Red Sox, then.

Is that guy about to get a reach-around yankee?

Crap, I missed something good again. Bob, please put me on the advance notice list for the next one.

Bob. Love the new avatar, but you should have covered your ears, or stuck your fingers in them, to complete the cycle.

There are yellow ear plugs in them, but they don't show well in the picture.

Crap, I just realized they're still in there! No wonder Rush started sounding good to me.

:::May Neil Peart perform a drum solo on your cranium, Bob!:::

I'd have been disappointed, Adrian, if my specificly Canadian baitball were attacked by any American fish(es). Thank you for being here at the right moment, and for being Canadian.

Glad to see you're around more often again. And gald you can still wield your pointed stick.

What is a "gald"?
Posted By: CatBrat Re: An Open Letter of Thanks - 11/11/11 09:05 PM
I like Pizza Hut.

It's German for "pissed off."

You are not truly Canadian until you have seen this version of Closer to the Heart. Unfortunately, I could only find a cell cam shot.

Alex Lifeson plays with Bubbles

I thought Bubbles would be a stripper. You Canadians are weird! smile

I need context, please.

EDIT: Never mind - Trailer Park Boys. I get it. Sorry.

My first thought was Michael Jackson's chimpanzee.

Actually, I'm now seeing similarities with Bubbles to Mark's new signature pic.

Would anyone be surprised to learn that I think "Trailer Park Boys" is/was awesome!
