is today! Everything's on sale. I know, I'm sorry. Some of you live, like, 1,200 miles from the nearest one. The one 3 miles from me and Lampy just bit it, so now it's about 16 miles to the nearest one. No, I don't care that I'm a dinosaur.

The only local place I know that sells records also sells a ton of other stuff (books, comics, board games, toys, etc.), but they do make a point of participating in this. I'm going to go check them out.

Good man, Charles, otherwise, like mine and Chris', it'll be gone. Charles, our place(s) also sell(s) all that other stuff---t-shirts, dvd's, bumper stickers, fridge magnets, comics, mags, et al. They have to, because there are not enough "middle-aged white men" left who buy cd's.

When I DO go later today, I will see that 75% of the people in the store, as always, will be MAWM's. Makes me feel all fuzzy inside.

I was tempted to buy some of the Star Wars storybook records that I'd forgotten existed. They had quite a variety, and I remembered owning every one. But then I didn't.

Ended up with Regina Spektor's "You've Got Time" and "The Julie Ruin's "Brightside."

Yeah, I don't know how I ended up with that extra quotation mark before The Julie Ruin.

Also, I somehow missed Garbage's Record Store Day release even though I specifically looked for it. I ordered it on their website, though, and I'll pick it up next weekend, assuming the website wasn't lying.

I know you're not really curious, but this is the place: Adventures Underground

It's a crazy amount of floor space for the kind of store it is, and in the area it's in. Considering you can get most of the stuff they carry online for cheaper, I'm amazed they can stay in business, but they must have loyal customers.

I was out our lone remaining music store Saturday. Picked up a couple local bands CDs. I looked through the vinyl for fun but there was nothing I wanted. I was hoping for Matt Anderson's Record Store Day release but there were none left. It is available online but Honeslty, now I'll probably get the CD so I can digitize it and get more use from it.
