Speaking of great deals on wires. Has anyone read the article in the new magazine "Connected" with the guy who started Monster Cable?
It made me sick seeing someone so ridiculously filthy rich from a concept of fooling customers into thinking they need a ridiculously expensive cable to be able to truly appreciate audio and video sources.
Ron, the bargain price probably is because the condition is only 9/10. I'd suspect that some of the electrons have worn out.
Good point John. It's probably not buffered wire either-- it'd probably skip if you shook it.
(By the way, I think having folks who think a standard 12GA wire is inferior to other, more complex wire, definitely makes this forum better- As long as they're open-minded about it I love to read their opinions on wire even if I personally have different opinions.)
This could be a real bargain for someone. It may be (not uncommon with this particular wire) that they did not allow it to break in for the (recommended) full 2 years. Additionally, using a wire stretcher to double the length makes a decision to purchase a no-brainer.
