Well, I.ve had most of the week to play with my new M22ti's, and as a former audio retailer, I'm BLOWN AWAY by the performance of my current arrangement. I dare say I've never heard better, at twice and possibly THREE times the price! I am currently using the M22ti's up front, the older Merak MC6h center. I picked this off E-Bay, brand new in-box, for around $58.00. Also, a $100. KHL sub I got at Costco. I have the crossover set real low, probably around 70-80 hrz., and the gain is set low, too, about 10 o'clock. I found this is all I need. To compensate for a little boominess from this sub, I stuffed some fiberglass in the cabinet. Perfect, tight bass!. Total investment so far: about $558. I challenge anyone to find better sound for twice this price. Great detail, superb imaging, amazing clarity in the midrange and sparkling high end, marvelous dynamic range, a huge soundstage. The high efficency gives very good performance at all volume levels, but crank them with some clean power and These babies SING!!! They take the power without breaking a sweat and play at levels that more than satisfy. They'll bring a smile to your face! A pair of Bose 301's round out the rear surrounds. (yeah, I know, but they'll be upgraded next. Actually, with their reflected sound, they don't make bad rears.) After 20 years in the business, I've never owned better sound. And the M22's are THE key! Congratulations, Axiom, on a FINE high-fidelity speaker!! For anyone even thinking about the M22's, don't strain your brain. GET THEM! If you DON't enjoy them and think they are FANTASTIC, I know Axiom's fine customer service will graciously refund your money! And, as a last note, I had not even HEARD of Axiom speakers until I began researching new audio equipment two weeks ago!
Sincerely, Gary
Glad to hear you like your M22's Gary. I am very fond of mine as well. Now I just can't wait to get out of my apartment and into a house so I can really make my M22's sing!!

Congrats on your system! It seems as if you are as happy with your Axiom system as I am. I am currently running 2 M3Tis for mains, but I will move them to the back and get 2 M22Tis for the mains after I get my subwoofer.

What made you choose the KLH ASW 10120 over the Sony SAWM40? I can get the Costco KLH for $105 or the Sony for $174. Both prices include taxes and shipping. Is the Sony worth the $69 extra? Everyone says the Sony is the best subwoofer under $200.

I will end up lining the cabinet regardless of which one I choose.

Thanks for the help.

Did you think about the Sony SAW40
Hi Football Fan,
That Sony Sub looks great...just checked it out. The only problem around here might be finding it in stock.. I think it would be an excellent choice with the M22's. I was thinking of adding a second sub on a budget, and would probably go with the Sony over a second KLH. Nice find. Feel free to E-mail me with any other questions/comments. Happy listening!
Gary

my speakrs cost 300 for emerald 97s-40$for michaura m55s-180$dahlquist pdq1500 sub(15 inch-500 watts)-79$ for bic 62clr center-now this is a system- all hooked up to a yamaha rx v1
amazingly they all blend in very well together
also michaura m55s for front efects(19$ each)
no rear center yet(will be another 62 clr)
if you can find a dahlquist pdq sub get one they are awsome (1 inch mdf cabinet)im looking for another so i can use the stereo sub channels
Where did you ever get a dahlquist sub at that cheap of a price? heck, i'll buy two of them!
I'm not sure about that sub, Ravi, but I'm not a Wharfedale fan since the 1960's.. The Emerald 97's are on U-bid, and you've got to be leary about a pair of speakers assembled in China that retail for $1800.00 and they're not exactly selling like hotcakes at under $300./pair... That sub sounds like a deal, though!
the wharfedales might be made in china but they are a quality speaker for the 300$-worth more if you ask me
the details you see when you open them up and look inside
the tweeter is incredable.oh the pretty sound they make.
i wish i did get 2 of the dahlquist subs -my new reciever has stereo lfe outputs
ill probably replace the wharfedales any way move them to my computer room and hook them up and bi-amp with my sada10.
either norh 6.9 or axiom m60 will replace them
no one on my block likes the dahlquist for some reason
Garpt,

basically, I am looking to add a second sub to my EP125 (@#$@#$ amazing sub). It doesn't make my clothes shake during movies, which is what I am looking for! I was, and still am, thinking of buying the Merak 15 incher (250$ at radio shack), since it can't be that bad if Ian is the one who designed it. If i see a better deal elsewhere, i'll jump on it!
theres a guy on ebay selling the merak subs 12-15 inch for about 120-130 $ us plus shipping-he says in add only a few left
Ravi,
I was going to sell my KHL 10" and get an Axiom sub, but read an article that said the better way to get more bass is to add a second sub. So, for just another $99. I added another KHL 10", and the results are terrific. Now I'm getting bass I can really "feel"! Plus, you can set the 2 subs to different crossover points, which extends the overall experience even more!
