Those on the board who know me - and for those who don't, read on - I have owned Axioms since sometime around 1989/1990.

I am apparently the longest standing active member of the board, except Ian.

In the year 1991 I was vacationing in the Huntsville Ontario area, and decided to visit the Axiom factory. While a startled Ian graciously allowed me to wander around, I managed to take some pictures of the factory. I have moved a few times since then, and have not been able to locate the pictures.

Until now.

I will scan these, and get them posted in the coming week. Looking at them, I am amazed at this factory could produce the quality of product I have owned, enjoyed, and had the pleasure of watching evolve.

Chess, your tour was of the current plant - prepare to be somewhat shocked at the 1990's version!

Amy, has Ian shared the earlier stages of Axiom with you?

....stay tuned!!!

This is almost like ordering a new pair of Axioms-but without a TRACKING NO!!!

I'm staying tuned.
I want to see Ian with a big 80s harido. Something like Flock of Seagulls style would be truly fascinating.

Hey Chess, were mullets in style back then? LOL.

Unfortunately no pictures of Ian.

I am still looking for my 1990's brochure of the Axiom lineup, that contains a picture of Ian.

Here's a pic for folks to chew on while they wait.

What speaker is Ian standing next to?

Peter, unless I'm overlooking some subtle factor other than the number of attachment points for the grill, it appears to be the old M60. It was that picture that led me to suggest to chess that Ian was about 6'5". Of course, if Ian is actually closer to 5'5", then the speaker must be the experimental M225.

In the brochure - if memory serves - Ian looks much different.

You would have to ask BB.
I never toured the factory quite 'that' long ago although i could picture Ian with a mullet at one point.
Peter, got any time for some Photoshop cut and paste?

Ian is indeed about 6' and then some for spare headroom.
I won't comment on Amie's height but i still contend she is 24.

Joe has an excellent collection of vintage speakers and vintage pictures - he's the official curator of the Axiom story, I think! Joe and Noreen have been with Ian for 19 years. They've seen it all! Noreen built woofers in her 'spare' time! And Ian's mother ran the grille room . . . Dying to see your shots, BBIBH!

Thank you Amie, for those little pieces of history-I'll never look at the grills in the same way again!

Start-up is an interesting time in a company-amazing who does what, and when.

Yes; dying to see the shots, indeed: Hey, BB, are we there yet!?
Rich.

Yes, when I get a chance to scan them, I will get them to you.

Any chance of getting this "collection" online? One thing that is disappointing is the pictures of the AX lineup on the website. It is post 1990, and does not reflect the entire history of Axiom loudspeakers.

These pictures are really indicative of the "garage assembled" years!!

FS - I am going to get them scanned - but I am currently in the midst of a major Cisco redesign and upgrade.....so time is precious. I hope to get them done in the next day or two...

There's no hurry, Mike, but I AM looking forward to seeing them.

Yeah, Mike;
We're anxious, but understanding.

You should have planned the Cisco stuff better!
