Hey, everybody (well, almost everybody) has got new names! How exciting! I guess all our complaining paid off.
That was sneaky! Here are the new categories (taken from the FAQ):

Gentlemen, I have a new goal...
Hmm, that works out to how many snide comments?
I was still an addict as of this morning.
I'll be now I'm a connoisseur.
Waaah! I'm not an axiomite yet.
You only have 125 to go. Hell, you can cover that in an hour.
How many shares do you get for 10,000 posts ? ...
That's 1025, not 125. Even I don't post that much!
OK, a week then.
Yeah, that's more like it.
So, is everybody happier? Or at least interested?
With short posts like these, you'll get there in no time.
I have just over 200 to get to the 1000 plateau.
Yes Amie. Thanks for the new titles. I notice that we went from two addicts to none at all.
Did I hear that the first one to 10000 without meaningless posts being included gets one of those nice new subs?
What's a meaningless post?
You did good Amie. Thanks.
Someone get him a mirror ...
You just resent my ability to be concise.
Sometimes I'm helpful...
These are really clever, Amie. Well done.
No Amie. I'm still stuck at veteran. But at the rate things are going today, I shall soon be promoted.
I think I posted a couple of useful comments today. . .
Somewhere.
I think.
Keep it going, my friend. Soon, mastered the way of the meaningless post you will have!
Oh no! Already slipping my syntax is. . .
Soon, be there I will!
Keep up the good work Ken, you'll get there soon
Amie, I'm delighted to be a connoisseur, and since Axiom is privately held I assume that Ian will have a little present for each of us reaching 10,000?
In all seriousness, I do like the new titles. Like Peter said, gives something to shoot for.
I'll let you know later this year when I hit it.
post!!
I'm up to 115...on 9885 more to go!!! Whew!!!
Awe, man.....
I'm just a "local"!
Gentlemen (and ladies)! It's not the QUANTITY of posts that matters. It's the QUALITY! (oh oh! If that's true, I'm in deep doo doo
)
My thoughts exactly...well at least with regards to posts.....
As the longest serving active member, I am probably not in the top 250 posters!!!
Hey Amie, can you run a report on this?
.....I guess this qualifies as a useless post!!!
I'm *so* bad with data but it looks like you were the 104th registered member, BBIBH. You have the most posts in the first registered 104, but you are not the longest serving active member. Is that the report you were asking for, or the top 250 posters?
No, I actually meant the top 250 with the most posts. I am guess Peter or Ken would be near the top.
We as a group went down this path about "when did you register", and we could not come up with many names before me that still post. Can you determine who is before me and still posts regularly...and I think we realize Ian does.
You need to invest in a BI tool...not that website stats are overly important...especially for message boards!!! LOL
Wow. I just noticed that pmbuko is an axiomite. That is some serious posting.
So if you reach 10,000 does Axiom give you shares of the company?
Apparently so. Enough of us have made this comment that it can be foreseen that Ian will be having a discussion with Amie suggesting a change in one category.
Rats! If I'd have been posting, rather than just lurk....uh...just reading and studying, in those days, I'd have been in the top 100!!
Phooie!!
That scares me, Jack!-your reference to quantity!;
I see I'm nearing the next level, now I have to remember the famous quote(somewhat modified):
"It is better to keep ones keyboard quiet and be thought a fool, than to use it and erase all doubt!"
Oooo.....
That posting got me one closer to the next level!!!
Ouch!
(expletive) is pretty deep in this thread
In reply to:
"It is better to keep one's keyboard quiet and be thought a fool, than to use it and erase all doubt!"
LOL!
Absolutely FABULOUS quote! Upon reading it I immediately assumed the "keyboard quiet" was substitued for "mouth closed," or the like, in the original quote.
Upon
searching, it appears the quote is unattributable to any one person. Sounds like Twain, but could easily be Lincoln. All I can say to the original author is "THANK YOU."
>>Sounds like Twain, but could easily be Lincoln.
Shania uses a keyboard ?
In her band, you bet!
"Mark" you noogie! Not "Shania."
UMMMMMM.
Hello.
HAAHAHAHAHA.
Hey, it's Father's Day. Hands up everyone who was daydreaming about Mark Twain...
Nobody ?
I love this kind of stuff on this board.
And I just wanted to see what my new rating was...
TjB
Hell, that's half the reason people are posting so much!
OK,
I'll take Devotee...
But Afficionato really seems like something to shoot for.
TjB
If Aime changed up the rankings every year or so, I bet postings would always stay high.
Ya gotta admit there has been more postings than usual.
I gotta admit it, only two to go!
The higher you get, the farther between.
So the less incentive to make these silly contributions!
Ok.....I'm at the next level now....gonna be at this point for a long time....Think I'll just grab a soda pop, some chips, crank'er up, plop in front of the 'ol big screen and watch a rousing DVD with the Grandkids!!
Rich.
You DO realize that this reorganization of titles is merely a mean, evil, dirty, sneaky way of making sure we all stick around, and continue to participate. I used to be in the top category (addict), but now I've been demoted to a mere connoisseur. That means I gotta hang in for another 7357 posts, or so, in order to regain my rightful place
in the top category. That means YOU gotta endure another 7357 of my pearls of wisdom
. So, to those of you who already sick and tired of me, BLAME AMIE!
I only feel a need to actually get to the top level if I truly do become a shareholder when I get there.
Yeah....Thanks a lot Amie.
Thank you so very much.....
For keeping Jack around a little longer!!!
Besides,....we need him in the Grey Posse!!
Free bump to the first person to source this quote:
"At times I actually though I could hear Arnold’s thoughts emanate from the EP500: “Gene, this is NO girlie man sub. It is very pumped.” Who am I to argue with the Terminator?"
That's right - free lift to the next level of posting, even Peter!! {giggles}
That is from Gene Dellasala in the Audioholics review of the EP-500...
HE was listening to The DVD-A of Graham Nash's "Chelsea Hotel" when Arnold spoke to him ...
Done deal - bump! And only two hours after the review went live - impressive!!!
Amie - It was a pretty good review, too. Makes a guy want to beat the snot out of an EP-600 !
Congratulations on the upgrade Craig. You gained over 350 posts in one shot.
Hey - Pretty cool stuff ! The only downside, what if someone looks at that new title and thinks: "This guy may know what the heck he is talking about"? ... I would hate to disappoint anyone ...
Well... just send them over to me.
I'll have em so confused they'll be begging to return for your advice. Haha
You got it - this could be fun. We could get Jack involved, and REALLY screw people up ...
Hell, you'll be an axiomite in no time then.

All they need do is stumble upon one of my posts and any thoughts of title and knowledge being linked will quickly evaporate.
Right!! And only 492 to go and I can be one too.
The mind boggles realizing just how many frivolous posts that I will have to contribute each day to try to catch up!!
I'll bet my Son can write me a program that will write a post and submit it automatically every hour on every subject every day!!
Let's see...How can I word this?
I know...Dumb Idea-Don't Do It!!!Ok...I won't
Everyone knows its those silent types that know everything
Riiiight!!
And (they/we) know who (they/we) are!!!
Yup: "Better to keep ones mouth shut and be thought a fool, than to open it and erase all doubt"
Hmmmmm...."I" hear that all the time! Uh oh.
