I like this idea so I thought I would jump on the bandwagon and do something also.

Anyway, this disc will not be for everybody. I tend to listen to the harder side of music but it should be noted that I don't like screamers, goth, death metal etc. So most of this will be harder rock but sane! They can all for the most part sing and they can all without a doubt, play there respective instruments! You can Google the bands you don't know or get a copy of the CD and be surprised!

Here is the track list:

Edguy - The Headless Game

Pink Cream 69 - Carnaby Road

For My Pain - Dear Carniwhore

Timo Kotipelto - Beginning

Static X - Dirthouse

Paradise Lost - Erased

Thunderstone - Forth Into The Black

Armageddon - Heart Of Ice

RA - High Sensitivity

Fozzy - Nameless Faceless

Balance of Power - No Place Like Home

Primal Fear - Running In The Dust

XYZ - Tango

Brainstorm - Weakness Sows It's Seeds

Stratovarius - Why Are We Here?

Pretty Maids - Time Awaits For No One

Symphony X - Wicked

If you want one, you know the drill, shoot me a PM with your shipping info and I will get one out to you!

I am gonna see Edguy live here in VA on August 15th, co-headlining with Hammerfall!!! I can't wait. Needless to say one of my favorite bands. I also got two albums from Thunderstone (s/t and Tools of destruction) and they are good. Symphony X is a little comlicated for me, as the case is with most progressive metal bands.

Edit: BTW I have all Edguy albums..

hmmm

I know (and love) Static X... but I reconize nothing else on that list dude.

Is some of it similar to Static X? I like industrial/metal (KMFDM, Zombie, etc).

If you like the Static X feel, you will like some of the other stuff.

Same here. I like most of them but I haven't made up my mind yet on the new (Hellfire Club) one. It's good but it didn't hit me the same way as say Mandrake did or Savage Poetry for that matter.

"Vain glory opera" is my favorite, with "Mandrake" and "Theater of Salvation" closely following. Hellfire Club is OK, they have gonne towards a more refined sound, heavier sometimes, but in expense of melodies. I have noticed recently many PM bands try to avoid "happy metal" sounds, trying to find "originality". However, this doesn't always work well. In fact, it is after those "happy" melodies and choruses that many people are after....

I think I might be interested, what is the drill?

Also, who else is furnishing CD's or am I to late?

Just pressed play on your disc, and got a big silly grin on my face. It's f'ing me' ul, man!

Hey NeverHappy, I got your CD last week. I like #2 and #5 - #5 particularly so. I also loved the intro on #17, but, as with many of the tracks, I wasn't crazy about the vocals. Good quality recordings, though, thanks for sending it to me.
Is it just me, or are lots of these bands heavily influenced by Iron Maiden?
Posted By: Ken.C Re: NeverHappys CD - 07/30/05 06:54 PM
I kind of got that feeling, too... I'm not partial to the 70-80s falsetto vocals, but I love the grinding guitars!

#2 - Pink Cream 69 is a very under-rated band that has been around for years. I encourage anyone who likes straight forward rock to give them a spin.

#5 - That is the new Static X CD. To be honest I haven't had a chance to sit with it for very long but I like what I have heard so far.

#17 - I agree. I love that intro! Very good band but they are not for everyone. I like the tune mainly because of the constant driving guitars in the back. I feel bad however over this tune.............I made everyone a disc who asked, sent them out and then noticed that Nero added a little split second "pop" on that song. It's not on the original file so I'm blaming Nero!

P.S. Did anybody catch on as to who is singing on song number 10? I thought for sure somebody would have been bugging me over that one.

Give #7 a chance to grow on you! Great tune and a very good band!

Mine arrived Friday in Houston, so it should not be much longer for everyone else. As soon as I get home I am going to pop it in my car CD player so I can check it out.

I just got mine. Only had a chance to listen once so far last night, but I like what I heard. I'll definately give it a couple more spins...I have a feeling that a lot of these will grow on me more once I get to know them a little better.

Thanks for the CD!

NeverHappy, I hope you don't mind, but my neighbors absolutely loved the disc so I gave it to them. Who'd a thunk the churchy couple were such big metal heads?

Religious upbringing gave the world many of today's heavy metal rockers.
