We are nearing the final design stages of our in-wall/on-wall hybrid speaker! It has been a fun project at Axiom, working to develop a no-compromise version of the much-sought-after in-wall/on-wall speaker, and Ian and Alan and the design team are finally satisfied they have the solution.
We will be offering 'M2', 'M3', 'M22', 'VP100' and 'VP150' - like versions of these speakers.
Here's where we need your help! The naming contest begins! Post your suggestions and whoever comes up with the winning name will win a set of the speakers!
Guess I'll be waiting to do that second room system! Mmm, new speakers... Now to start thinking of names!
How much alike are we talking? Same size/number driver complement? Or are you going to keep us in suspense?
Hi Amie,
For starters, how about using "WM" for wall mount?
The designations could be: WM2, WM3, WM22, VP100/WM & VP150/WM etc.
Thought I should get this project started...
Shaun
Assuming they actually have the same sound as their M3, M22, etc counterparts, use the same name with a W on the end of it. If the sounds are different, then a different group of names would be needed as well.
Very nice looking! Your timing is perfect, as I am looking at picking up four M3's next month for my store.
Shane D
Keep the numbers the same as their M equivalents, but name the product line
SF, so you'd have the SF2 and the SF3.
Whether SF stands for Super-Flat or Spouse-Friendly is in the eye of the beholder...
W2i
W3Ti
W22Ti
WC100
WC150
Amie,
I also would recommend keeping the numeric values the same for familiarity reasons. However, I like LP which would stand for "LowProfile" series.
LP2
LP3
LP100
LP150
and why not a LP500, I need a new sub.
Instead of m2i.. m2iw. iw being, in wall.
Or, the W2i. w being for wall.
So far, my two submissions would be the w2i/w3ti/w22ti, and the m2iw, m3iw, and m22iw.
As for the centers.. VP100iw, and vp150iw. or, iw150 and iw100.
Oh - and if by any chance the residents at Axiom are drunk and mistake this for a good naming scheme.. I don't need any inwalls if it wins.
Klipsch had a floorstanding series called synergy with SF-1, SF-2, and SF-3 speakers. If someone were to google these, they'd probably get klipsch results not Axiom. And anyone who's heard the SF-1 would not want any reference of that to their Axioms.

Amie Colquhoun
Axiom Audio
As they are in-wall/on-wall hybrids, that suggests each speaker can be used for either type of installation.
"IW" ... "OW" ... etc ... are being used by other companies... and Amie's original post suggests there will be No Compromise when compared to the standard line... Thus, perhaps the "NC" prefix for the "No Compromise" line ...
NC2
NC3
NC22
NC100VP
NC150VP .....
How about "LP" for Low-Profile? It fits the idea of on-wall or in-wall, and you can have fun marketing the nostalgia of "LPs"?
Or "Silhouette Series" ..... (Just don't designate them the "SS" anything!) Make them the:
Si.150
Si.22 yadda, yadda, yadda.
By the way, they're nice looking! I like the Radius edges.
Hey, How 'bout the Radius Series? Well, OK... maybe "Radius" has been done! I like the Li designation better anyway!
I'm just gonna name every idea I have since I didn't win the 600!
Hmm, how bout M3 Lite, or Diet M3?
I think I'm just thirsty. Sounds like a drink.
The Wife took a quick look at the picture and the concept and instantly said: "Slimline Series"

stealth series ------- the state of being furtive or unobtrusive
Mark, You are cracking me up. Either this is a great martini I am having with my wife, or you guys are coming up with some GREAT ideas ...
UMMMM Mark, I already suggested LowProfile as an entry, sorry man I hope I win
How about just calling them the ION Series from Axiom, for obviously the In/On Wall speaker. No offense here, but I think you use enough prefixes and suffixes for the lines now.
How about the Aeon line (or AEon!)? A2, A3, A22, A100, A150, or AE2, AE3, AE22, AE100, AE150. Assuming driver complements are the same.
Edit: Durn. There's already Martin Logan Aeons.
Well, I suppose there's always Eons.
Except there's already JBL Eons. Arg.
Awesome, Can't wait for their release. I've been planning on picking up a couple of M2's for the 6 and 7 of my 7.1 but have limited space in the back and have procrastinated. These new releases would fit the bill perfectly!
How about calling them M2TL, M22TL, VP100TL, ect for "THIN LINE"...?
Awesome idea and great looking product. Well done Axiom Crew!!! Yet again!!!
Cheers, Mike
Great. Klipsch already stole my idea.
Since they are based on the Millennia and Vocal Point series of speakers, I think the M & VP should stay at the front. Not sure what the i & ti on the originals stand for, though.
My vote is for:
M2h / M3h / M22h / VP100h / VP150h
With the "h" indicating the Hybrid version.
I googled them all, and nothing offensive or related came up.
OR, is it easier to say:
MH2 / MH3 / MH22 / VPH100 / VPH150 ???
Was anyone dissappointed that there weren't more pictures / details? I think I remember reading that Ian has never been a fan of the infinite baffle design, so I would assume that there is a proper cabinet that protrudes into the wall. Although, since a standard 2x4 is only 3.5", once you deduct the thickness of the cabinet material, it doesn't leave a lot of interior volume.
Amie, how about some more pictures!!!
With a nod to one of your finest I suggest "Mounties". Now do the do-right thing and send me my prize.
How 'bout the "On/in Wall Line"
The "Axiom Owl" series!
Now we'd need another contest!
To design the stylized owl logo, to go along with the stylized Axiom "a"!!
There are some GREAT suggestions - we're still giggling over Mounties! Ian says Tim has a few more pics so as soon as he's in I'll post them!
"WallArt" by Axiom
WA150 etc etc.
You could also consider grills that have the appearance of artwork instead of just being one single colour.
In reply to:
UMMMM Mark, I already suggested LowProfile as an entry, sorry man I hope I win
I KNEW that idea came too easily to me..... I read your post 30 seconds earlier! DOH! (Hiding now)
That's OK, though, I liked my second "Si" (for "Silhouette ") idea better anyway!
Not having read all the posts, lest I be leap-frogged by some other eager beaver intent on being the first to try out the naming game....I apologize if this has been listed.
M2i-W
M3i-W
M22i-W
VP100-iW
VP150-iW
iW = "in wall"
I'll add another vote for Mounties. Very funny stuff, and it rolls off the tongue well.
This is a tough one...I assume you will be replacing the Millennia Series name for this.
I like the Stealth suggestion above and came up with:
Discreet Series
And since they really are going to be like art..
Designer Series
or
Sculpture Series
I don't mind Mounties but I bet you ten to one the RCMP has it trademarked.
1) Wall Flower
2) No Wall Flower or A'int no Wall Flower
3) Wall of Sound ( obvious reference to Phil Spector)
ie. M22 Wall of Sound
4) Brick in the Wall
5) The Wall of Fame
6) Off the Wall
7) M22 Graffiti
8) Illusion (may seem negative, not sure)
9) Panasound (Panarama)
10)Masterpiece
11)m22 Trophy
12)M3 Triomph
13)Spector
14)Floyd
I think I'm trying too hard. I have to think more on this.

So it does stick out on the back. Oh well.... Stupid *%&!ing rental apartment... Looks like a great solution for those who can cut out pieces of their wall, though!
you can too ken just a little spackle and paint before you leave who wwill know?
Heh... I've already got enough holes in the wall. And that much spackle? Would that work? Hmm...
In reply to:
Okay....after seeing that last pic, how about the "Radius Line"!
I think Monitor Audio might have an issue with using Radius.
After seeing the pic:
Slim Line
M3SL / M22SL
or
SLM3 / SLM 22
I think I've been barking up the wrong tree here. These speakers deserve more than a new letter or two. After having seen the latest picture, I think the new line introduces an entirely new, um... paradigm... in speaker design. Something this innovative needs a name that captures the imagination and demands attention.
Here are my official entries (until further notice!):
Axiom Essence Series: (E2, E3, E22, E100, E150)
Essence, used in its culinary sense, is a reduction of a substance to a very concentrated and potent form while maintaining the distinct characteristics of the original.
"Axiom Essence: All of the sound, none of the footprint."
Axiom Aura Series: (A2, A3, A22, A100, A150)
Aura = ambiance, air, atmosphere, mood, feeling, tone, emanation. These speakers don't call attention to themselves but are nonetheless unmistakeably present.
"Axiom Aura: Rediscover your music, and your floorspace."
Axiom Harmony Series: (H2, H3, H22, H100, H150)
I like how it works on many levels. Harmony obviously reminds us of music, but it also alludes to the high WAF/SAF of these speakers. It can also suggest that you no longer need to arrange your room arround your speakers. They can co-exist harmoniously with your existing arrangement.
"Axiom Harmony: Guiltness sonic indulgence."
And a catch-all slogan for this new series:
"Our new ??? Series hybrid in/on wall speakers will floor you."
Well, I guess that last post is the signal...it's time to start putting some serious thought into this if you want to win. I like all 3 of those. Even catchy slogans to go with them. It's almost like you work in marketing or something.
Kudo's Peter, those were excellent!! They do deserve their own "Series". I especially like the "Aura" & "Harmony". (And the nomenclature makes perfect sense.) Great job.
Here's another one:
Axiom Balance Series(ABS): Integrating sound and space.

Hi Amie!
For the last month or so I was looking for a pair of Axiom speakers for our living room ( as the 2nd room fed by HK7300).One day I even asked my wife about her opinion (size, color, placement, etc). We almost agreed on M22.It was late in the evening and we decided to place the order ...next day.
Next day...I've got the Axiom newsletter and...MIRACLE!!
New product,in/on wall, etc.
Right in time!
Isn't this a...MIRACLE?!
That's why I would like to by a pair of...Miracle 22!
May I place the order?
Regards,
Octavian
Amie,
How about the Axiom
GHOST line? Speakers so cool they will haunt you in your own house!
/corny
Perhaps you can name them
G2/G3/G22ti/GP100/GP150
or
M2g/M3g/M22g/VP100g/VP150g
Or maybe the
Facade line....not sure if someone already mentioned this.
F2/F3/F22ti/FP100/150
M2f/M3f/M22f/FP100/150
Hmmm or maybe
Illusion Series line?
Another one is Axiom
Mirage Speakers
Or how does
Covert Line/Series sound?
Ok last one, Axiom
Subtle Series speakers
Amie,
How about the Shadow Series speakers?
Speakers that are meant to be heard and NOT seen.
I still see them as OWLS(On/in Wall Line)either perched on the wall, or(in light of the fact that they extend Into the wall)perched on a tree branch in front of a big 'ol knothole!
The Axiom Stealth line.
M2St
M3St
M22St
VP100St
VP150St
OR
ST2
ST3
ST22
ST100
ST150
The F107 plus 5(F112)IS Stealth; funny I didn't think of that
I don't know if this has been suggested yet, but it just now popped into my teeny weeny widdle head, how about a line of:
M2WW
M3WW
M22WW
The WW would stand for Wonder Walls.
How about the Axiom "Tapestry" line? Adorn your walls with rich, beautiful music! (keep the numbering scheme...)
hey ajax, back up i said it first----me want prize
I believe the prize should go to that most Stealthy of birds......the OWL, which should swoop down and claim the prize!!
A critter that is perfectly noisless(neutral sounding)in flight, for the purest of "hearing" while going about its' job! Additionally, the ears are designed to focus the sound more accurately than any other bird, in fact it can said that the OWL has the greatest "Imaging" of all birds!! It is also well colored, from white in Northern Canada, thru a variety of custom colors!
It has sight that is great on-axis, but can be swiveled for fabulous off-axis vision as well!
Strong talons are utilized for an extreemly strong bass.(er...base)
Quite a bird, actually
You don't have any owl posters in your house? Calendars?
Just kidding F107, but you sounded pretty passionate about it. I think Meadowlark had a surround speaker named the Owl, but they, sadly, no longer exist as a company.
I like the Owl idea, as well as Mounties. Peter also threw out a few excellent suggestions. Lots of good ideas here. Interesting to see what Axiom chooses.
Never thought much about Owls before! Just the letters that were appropriate for an on the wall line of speakers just kind of happened
I had recalled that they were a stealthy bird, so it was just an extension of the previous post
Then a couple of fun minutes with the 'ol Britannica......
If OWL is picked though, you can bet that owl posters Will find their way into the house
I went looking because I thought someone had already come up with "Owl." Turns out it was you!
I see, a little self-promotion.
No....I would argue that
A lot of self promotion
....and just havin' a bit of fun
LOL!
I still like "Mounties". If they were just surface mounted on the wall I was thinking "Klingons" but Mounties works even if the speakers have a section that gets recessed into the wall...
Mounties is pretty funny - and fits in a lot of ways. It gets my vote ...
Hey....
I like "Mounties" too!
What could be more Canadian!!
Mounties sound good to me too.
In reply to:
Hey....
I like "Mounties" too!
What could be more Canadian!!
Geese?
Or Loonies?
Hey!....Ya know,....maybe a distant runner-up could get about 24 feet of bulk speaker cable?
Sorry, but not being Canadian, Mountie just sounds strange to me. You don't want to make the name an insider Canadian thing that people from other countries don't know about. What is a mountie anyway?
I believe mountie is short for Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Being an American I cannot tell you how or when they originated. Maybe our northern brothers can give a little insight? eh?
Never watched Rocky and Bullwinkle, huh?
Amie,
It's a pleasure knowing I gave Ian and yourself a chuckle early in the morning. RCVecc, I meant to reply to Amie but I thought of you while watching "Saving Private Ryan" last week. I kept saying "Vecchio, where have I heard that name". Don't pee a vee on me! Cap'n, I suppose like the early bird the eager beaver.... well you know what I mean. Like coach used to say before we played Gonzaga " If you hoot with the owls at midnight you can't soar with the Eagles at dawn". Zarak, you're an Eagles fan. You guys booed Santa Claus.
And thanks to everyone who supported my entry.
Or Sgt. Preston of the RCMP, and his dog, King(I think it was King)
(Or was it his horse "King" and the dog "Rex")
Came on TV just before Rocky and Bullwinkle
I believe it was on one of the US networks, rather than the CBC!
>>Never watched Rocky and Bullwinkle, huh?
Or "Due South" ?
I agree "Mounties" is probably a better nickname than official product name, at least until the Americans realize that not every country calls their domestic federal law enforcement agency the FBI
Now you're really revealing your age, and I hate to admit that I used to watch Sgt. Preston and his dog, King also. I bet you remember Sky King, also. I do
Oh Yeah.....Pennie(sp) was my favorite, but I have to admit that both planes were fun too
Rats!.....now I gotta do some research
Seems to me that Sky King was a "Flying A" production, and I believe that it was run by Gene Autry. Since Sky King was about aircraft; was Sky King the "first" of the "Flying A" programs?
I wonder.....
Hybrid in-wall/on-wall speakers... from the bookshelves and centers...
What about
M2ti--- M2wti
M3ti--- M3wti
M22ti--- M22wti
VP100-- VPw100
VP150-- VPw150
I think that 'W' is better that 'H' as Hybrid can be confused with ribbon & cone speakers, as they call them in some places.
I am trying to picture talking in the forums and with people about the speakers, and I can imagine easily going from: 'the M22's are awesome' to 'the M22w's are awesome'...
If the speakers are following closely the Milennia line, they should be closely named, I think. Adding the W for the In/On wall mounting its just right.
I never did figure out why a guy who never seemed to get out of that air-o-plane dressed up like a cowboy. It probably had something to do with the singin' cowboy.
Well, I only saw the Rocky and Bullwinkle stuff on VHS, long after they were gone. I'm gonna borrow the DVDs from my Dad, though...
Then I'll get to see them in order!
Keep it simple:
W2
W3
W22, etc...
W = Wall, of course.
Axiom Insertables?
Axiom Wall Suppositories?
F2, F3, F22, etc...
F = Flat.
How about the Spider Series?

Damn I'm good.
If you put a decorative knob on top of the M2-like speaker, it would look kinda like a hip flask.
That's one BIG hip flask. I'm all over it.
it will probbably great reviews from
audioholics and alcoholics
I give it a 12 out of 10!! *hic*
Just what I was looking for, can't wait!
howz about the Flushmount series or countersink series.
The worlds first partially sunken in wall speakers
"Sinkholes" are big, here in Florida!
How about......
Naw; I don't think so
"Keystone Series" with this designation:
KS2, KS3, KS22, KS100, etc.
Definition of keystone from Webster's:
"1 : the wedge-shaped piece at the crown of an arch that locks the other pieces in place
2 : something on which associated things depend for support"
The picture of the rear of this new speaker reminded me of a keystone, and the concept of this speaker fitting into a wall to provide "support" for an audio system seems to fit as well.
Any chance for front/back photos of the new VP150?
...or do I have to wait for the picnic/open house on Sept 10th?
Definate consideration in the coming months for above my fireplace.
BarilkoBart
How about the "WalTech" Series!
How about N2, N3, N22, etc.
N is the letter after M anyway.
Lets people know the designs are related.
I also like the earlier suggestion of the "no compromise series"
Its 2005, I think Axiom should drop the Millenia bit from the new product's name.
I asked my mum if she could think of a name.
Long shot my entry is the" "Narsinh" series:
A few Hindus would know what this refers to.
There's an ancient story about Lord Vishnu emerging from a
pillar (not a wall unfortunately)
in the form of Narsinh, in order to save one of
his devotees.
I HAVE IT.....
WAXIOM

........WAXI........OFF!!!
No to the Loonie!!! Damn americans
Hard enough trying to exchange them and having that weird look.
Name: Element Series
Description: A speaker that can be discreet and placed in any design element. Performing beyond its Diminutive size
Scuplture Series: A speaker sculptured to the interior of modern design and to enhance the open design of todays homes. Delivering the audio you would expect from tradition floorstanding speakers.
I think I need to read the water cooler more often, I missed the first draw
How about the Architect series ?
Covers both the "premium" aspect and the "you have to build them into the walls" aspect...
SpaceMaker? SM2, SM3, SM22, etc...
SpaceSaver? SS2, SS3, etc...
Axiom Wedgies? AW2, AW3, etc...
[EDIT] That was too tacky even for me. It's bad when you have to delete your own posts in order to maintain the board's high standards
"Architect series"
I think someone has already suggested that earlier in the thread.
Just had another brainstorm:
Axiom Integral Series: (I-2, I-3, I-22, I-100, I-150)
Integral means belonging as an essential part of the whole; necessary to the completeness of the whole; built-in. The speakers will integrate comfortably into your living space and you'll quickly wonder how you lived without them. The word is also the root of integrity, which reminds us of the way Axiom runs its business, and the way its speakers reproduce sound. Additionally (no pun intended), all three terms in this name suggestion are related to math, so you'll corner the mathematician market right there!
"Axiom Integral: Your life, your music."
>>"Architect series" -- I think someone has already suggested that earlier in the thread.
Yep, turns out EddyZ offered "Architectural Series" a few days ago. Oh well...
Both good.
And just enough different.
Well,

I could go on, but time for sleep now... I kinda like "Transitive Series". Seems to have a good conceptual meaning for the product line. Or maybe I'm just to tired to be trying to think.
How can the series be both transitive and intransitive?
Also, I take offense to the last suggestion on your list. We are all not A-holes for buying axioms....of that's anole, I'm sorry.
"Transitive" - I was reading so quickly, I thought you wrote "Transvestite"!! HaHa. Hey, it could work! (There is more going on there than meets the eye.)
Inset series.
Reveal series.
["I thought you wrote "Transvestite"!! HaHa. Hey, it could work! (There is more going on there than meets the eye.)"]
There ya go we could call them the "Transgender Series"
ok. It's clear now I was to tired to be attempting to offer suggestions at that time of night. The "In" in "Intransitive" was supposed to be part of "Ingredient Series". I forgot to fix it. Guess I'm a Anole.
Now the one question we're all wondering is:
When is the contest over? Shall we assume that it's still going because none of us has submitted a worthy name yet?
Wall Integrated
If not already posted. Too many to remember.
Apparently so, Peter. We've been insufficiently creative so far and must try harder. Incidentally, interesting

As in "Wall Integrated M22ti"

I didn't want to rush the process as some good names are still coming out! But do we feel 'exhausted'? Is it time to narrow it down to the semi-finals?
Yes
If only to prevent Peter from making any more suggestions, yeah.

The Amie Series - The Slim and Trim design!
Couldn't resist.
Wow!!!.....Talk about goin' for an unfair advantage
Contest winner is . . . bugbitten! J/K, but wanted to officially 'close' the thread to new suggestions as pre-voting is beginning at Axiom! Good luck to everyone. I know where my vote is going!
Has anyone ever told you that you're a cruel, cruel woman?
I hope not, because they'd be lying.
Man, all this sucking up is starting to draw a vacuum in here!
I can hardly breathe in this rarified air. Someone throw me a mask, quick!
I think the new line of speakers should have a distinct name of their own. A few ideas I have are below:
1. Axiom Aspect Series.
2. Axiom Expression Series.
I like the idea of taking the first letter of the series combined with 'M' to denote main, 'C' for center, and 'S' for surround. For example, the Axiom Aspect series would be something like:
Aspect AM-20 main
Aspect AC-10 center
Aspect AS-10 surround
How a speaker is denoted (M60, M22, etc.) isn't that significant,IMO. However, the series name is important as it should embody and convey the inspiration behind the design.
I guess you missed the
memo?
17 days for a contest? I guess patience is not a virtue around here.
Didn't expect to find this thread under "Water Cooler".
I am am glad to see these speakers go through an evolution that has not compromised sound quality.
I have seen too many manufacturers put the design into the hands of the home owners by relying on the homeowner to either 1) have a well built wall to accomodate the speaker 2) modify the wall with a custom bracket that will hopefully provide enough bracing or 3)custom build a wall with many unknows. One manufacturer actually requires the homeowner to build their own speaker boxes in the wall. Granted this can give them the greatest flexibility and sound
if they are building from scratch.
I had spent a lot of time looking at in-wall speakers and found the Monitor Audio "Controlled Performance" speakers to be the best idea. They had provided what is essentially a pre-designed enclosure for installation in wall. No guesswork and hence the name. The "downside" is that they can not produce the bass of a floor standing speaker but as long as they have an "audiophile grade" subwoofer, that would not be a problem.
These new Axiom speakers are kind of a levitating bookshelf speaker. They are compact and still relatively easy to install. It looks like a good design to me. I also like the fact that it is not completely flush mounted to reduce the boundary effect. The proximity to the wall will still boost the bass response however, which may actually benefit the smaller speakers.
I know my wife would prefer completely flush mounted so it would be completely unobtrusive, but I guess you can't please everyone. I never thought to find a wife that could understand my passion for music.
I am really looking forward to a wall-mounted center channel as I need something to compliment the Monitor Audio GR-60s that will not need a stand. The trouble I have is that a wall mount may not have the ability to direct the sound where I need it (potentially will end up being too low). Often times I see people angle their center channels to direct the sound precisely at the listener. I have a feeling that this may not be a possibility with these in/on wall speakers. Compromise? Well, for me perhaps but at the very least they are a lot more wife-friendly than my current speakers.
I will eventually set up my projection screen with the intent of having a wall mounted center channel. I look forward to the new series of speakers but even more to these new digital amplifiers.
Congrats Axiom on a new "designer series" of speakers. I am finding that this is a growing trend and should be very popular for people with smaller spaces.
As a husband with a wife who loves candles, I'd almost prefer to see a design with a sloped top to prevent the temptation to use it as a votive mount. Perhaps a drip shield option could be provided
.
along those same lines, my old p.o.s. Philips HTIB was used as a candle rest up until the flame melted through the side and the candle proceeded to drip ~8 oz. of wax into the unit. thankfully it was only on top of the heat sink and there were vents underneath too! however, on the plus side, every time i watched a movie the room smelled like cinnamon from the left over wax inside that i couldn't get out!

That should totally be an option for Axioms. The WAF line - in 5 scents cinnamon apple, fresh spring rain, vanilla cream, hazelnut, and patchouli.
Speaking as a guy whose wife is not into scented crap (thank God--or ruffles or little statues of children kissing--who thinks of that stuff, anyway?!), what the hell is patchouli?
Didn't Johnny Fever and Venus Flytrap burn patchouli candles in the studio at WKRP in Cincinaaaaati?
In reply to:

What, you've forgotten how to
google?
Nah, just lazy enough to manipulate you into doing it for me.

I think it was patchouli incense and it was an attempt to mask the smell of something else...
But they never inhaled...
Nag Champa...now there's an incense.
WhatFurrer
so long as they make a "Maker's Mark" scent, i'll buy 'em till I've got speakers coverin' the walls!
Are the votes in? Do we have a list of semi-finalists?
Inquiring minds need to know!!
What, and spoil the surprise in this month's newsletter?
As every single one of us rushes to find out when the newsletters usually come out...
Yup, looks like it should be in a day or two!
Uh . . . a little later this month! Alan is on an island, meditating on it. . .
Ain't much month left, Amie!
Alan has wireless, we know 'cause he is posting in other threads
Yah wireless.
This is beginning to feel just like the last contest. So much drama.
Definitely intreged to find out what the new name will be.
Holy crap! I've been away for awhile...just got my newsletter in the email box, and find out I'm a winner! Whoohoo!
Congrats, Craig and EddyZ! Now get out those keyhole saws and find a place for those Ws!
That's odd...I didn't get the newsletter. What were the names of the winning suggestions?
From the news letter.
"The on-wall/in-wall speaker naming contest drew an excellent response. We decided on a hybrid name: the prefix"W" will indicate they are distinct from our regular line and they will be referred to as the "Architectural Series," so the naming convention will be W2i, W3ti, etc."
Congats Spiff and other winners on the contest.
Congrats guys, very cool!
Congratulations, you guys!
Woohoooooooooo!!!!! Cheese-n-rice guys......I feel like I'm on cloud nine! I don't get the newsletter but Ajax PM'd it to me.....thank you Jack! Thanks for the congrats from y'all. And thank you to Amie, Ian, Alan and everyone involved at Axiom for having this contest! Amie, what do I do now?
You're welcome, Ed. I suppose you just hang tight until the Architectural series is released. I'm sure you'll hear from the powers that be.
I don't think Spiff should be awarded ANYTHING unless he promises to come around here more often. Jeez I miss the regulars who take sabbaticals, like Bren, Spiff, and Ray. I STILL wanna know what happened to Doc Orgel (morgel). It's spooky when someone just disappears like that. Hope all is well with him.
I would assume they are too busy to visit the boards very often, once they feel comfortable with what they have in A/V. Sometimes, they may have the "upgraditis" disease very badly, and go with other speaker brands higher in the "food chain". Those are only my assumptions though...
Yeah, it is "spooky." We just don't get enought marantz talk around here since the man with the hat left.
Yeah...it's kinda sad, really
I'd been lurking around these boards for years before I had a question too important to me not to ask(since the very early part of the "Millenium") And it's amazing how many "groups" of regulars ease on in and fade on out.
One regular....Ian, I think, was his name, would pop on quite often with all kinds of good stuff. Bet He's kinda busy these days.
But yup, it sure can be transitional
We're all just sitting tight until the products are released! Still tweaking a few minor things and we're hoping to have the first batch of the new speakers ready for October 15th. Fun contest though!!! Thanks to everyone who entered - over 100 possibilities in all!
I've just been real busy at work, and to be honest it's from my work desk that most of my board visits happen. (shhh...don't tell anyone)
What movie is in the works?
I was hoping the "Amie Series" would come out ahead.
Was it even in the running?
Mostly working on some fx for a new documentary about Greece. (fx work not being my forte, it's been a real challenge.)
Next up for "hollywood" fare, is Harry Potter 4.
They thought I put you up to it
Thanks to the Axiom folks for the consolation prize and congatulations to the winners. I plan on using the gift certificate in the Fun Store, getting the Big John Bobblehead that I always wanted. I'm just wondering what will be bobbling.
