I need a decent pair of speakers that I can plug into my laptops headphone jack. (Im using my laptop as a desktop at the moment.) External monitor, external hard drive, external mouse and key board. Anyway. me and my girlfriend have alot of itunes music on the computer. She usually just puts it on her ipod nano that I gave ger early for christmas, but I would like to listen to music from the computer and get a decent sound out of it.

I didnt want to spend more then $100 bucks but I wanted to get the most of what I could for that $100 bucks. I also didnt want a subwoofer setup in the office. I just need a nice clean playback level so that i can work and listen to music.

I decided on the Klipsch ProMedia Ultra 2.0 PC Speaker System http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0006TIEZS/102-6649929-3238501?n=172282

I sure wish Axiom made pc speakers that I could just plug into my computer without a reciever. I would be first in line to get a pair.

Anyway, was just wondering if any of you have these speakers and If I will be happy with them for basic itunes use.

Thanks
A few more pics.

It's a shame the M zero and M1 series went out of production, they would have made a good set of computer speakers.

I suspect even they still needed a receiver, however.
I haven't heard the Klipsch PC speakers but they are supposed to be very good.

... for computers speakers. You forgot that vital caveat.
A hot setup that a lot of people are using for PC's is the Sonic T Amp , use it to drive "real" speakers, like some Axiom M2i's. I know, more than $100.
Or the old 1/8" mini to stereo RCA from your soundcard to receiver. The M80's are the finest speakers I've owned (PC or otherwise).
Man now that's something I really do need, a new set of pc speakers. I've got these JBL speakers that came with my desktop. They're actually not too bad for what they are, but still.
