Paul Simon will release his first studio album since 2000, Surprise, on May 9 via Warner Bros. Billboard reports that the album was recorded as a collaboration with producer Brian Eno (U2, Talking Heads).
Oooooh. Sounds interesting. I'll have to check it out.
I had no idea. Thanks! Think he'll tour? He usually does. Do I answer my own questions? Some of the time.
I like to get the answer first then determine if a question is worthwile.
My favorite tour answer is "Richard on drums, Paul on bass, and two caskets."
More to the current point: "Troubled Waters" indeed.
....huh?.....
Ringo on drums, Paul on bass, Pete on guitar, and Roger singing. Ladies and gentlemen, the Whootles!!!
I always thought it interesting how the rhythm section of the Who is dead, whereas with the Beatles it's the opposite.
Anyway, back to our Paul Simon thread. Saw him in Atlanta in 1987 for the Graceland tour. Great concert.
Woah!! Whootles or Bootles or whatever! This whole idea has merrit!
hmmmmm.....
I can see the tour route right now!
Remember Lincolns' last train ride in the 1860s??!!!
LOL!
Happy Jack? from the Isle of Man?
I'm just gonna have to put that smilie in my signature. Sheesh!
FYI...
Upon first listen I wasn't sold on the album, but like most great albums it had to grow on me. I know have been listening to it over, and over and over and over. I can't get enough of it. GREAT stuff.
...and yes, he is touring.
I can hardly wait to hear, I Want to Hold Boris the Spider.
