Woohoo! Fellow Canadians, if you can get a copy of today's Toronto Star, you'll see BrotherBob's home theater looming large! Canada HiFi wrote a guest article for the Star and requested a bright home theater shot to go along with it, and voila! Thanks again Rick!

Wow, that is really cool Amie ... Thanks a lot!

Looks like it's going to be a good week ... first this, then Mike (Mdrew) is supposed to be in the area during the next couple of days for a visit and next week my wife and I celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Looking forward to meeting Mike and maybe kicking down a couple of cold ones over some tunes and maybe a DVD or two.

Thanks again Amie, you and the crew are first class!

Rick, little did you think that buying Axioms would make you world famous!

Far from famous.

I've tried to copy and paste the article but for some reason I am having trouble doing so, maybe later today Amie will be able to post the article.

In a nutshell it's an article explaining the basics, cost and a general guideline for the person who isn't familiar with HT and related equipment which include three pictures of different home systems...mine, another pic with Axiom bookshelves and yet another using Energy speakers. Nice article. The reason my pic was requested is because of the bright color on the walls allowing it to show up well for a newspaper, the other two pics are of lighter rooms as well.

A 25th wedding anniversary, Mike and the Toronto Star?

It just doesn't get any better than that

Congratulations, enjoy your week.

I don't think I can post article due to copyright issues. I'm sorry! Here's the link, though. Picture it with his beautiful home theater, and a neat loft shot that we took at Axiom.

I don't know about world famous. I'll definitely give you quarter-sphere famous, though.

So I got to the article (thanks for the corrected link!), but there were no pictures.

Do they delete them the next day? Do I need to do something differently? (Not that we haven't all seen those photos of BrotherBob's awesome theater -- assuming that they're the same shots).

Thanks!
Rich

I don't believe the internet version had the images. If I can find the issue I'll scan them for you.

Well I can attest that Richard’s “TV room” as the Farmers like to call it not only looks as good in person as in pictures, but it sounds simply amazing. I have about the same sized room and the same speakers/electronics, but ol’ Rick has got his dialed in extremely well. His sounds much, much better than mine (so I’m just going to have to duplicate what he did).

What I found most impressive, and also user / viewer friendly, was how comfortable the room is. Even with all the lights on, the picture was great verses the dark HT option where everyone is a dark bat cave and unable to find their beer without blindly groping for it.

Watching John Fogerty in concert at around 90 db’s was quite a treat (we had to keep the volume down so we could still BS). So much in fact that I picked up a few concert DVD’s the other day (including the Long Road Home dvd).

Oh, happy 25th Rick!!!

Hey Mike!

Glad to see that you made it back to Alaska in one piece.

I can assure to you all on the board that Michael is one hell of a nice guy and his son Dalton is nothing less than an awesome young man, we enjoyed their visit but the stay just didn't last long enough ... we were just getting started whenever time was up but I can only hope that Mike knows that he always has a place (beer included!) to call home or hangout here in south Florida. The wife and I are equally looking forward to a trip up to Alaska one day soon and Mike's beautiful home will certainly be first on the list of places to visit!

Michael ... I'm betting that room of yours sounds mighty darn fine!

As long as you obtain permission you can post it. I have referenced technical articles and obtained permission to reproduce images from their publications. Just have to follow protocol.
